WHO: Reaper Spelt [D9].
WHAT: A nap at the teacups leads to a visit from the beloved Richard Parker.
WHEN: Day #15.
WHERE: Tiny Tippers Twirling Teacups.
STATUS: Complete narrative.
Since the anthem last night, Reaper had been feeling a bit more optimistic about how things were going in the arena. Now that Brock was out of the picture, he felt for the first time that he had an actual shot of winning the games. There were still two more tributes that needed to die, but he felt he could handle that and was expecting their final showdown to happen at any minute now. What he wasn’t expecting was another run in with the tiger mutt. It really shouldn’t have been surprising considering mutts had been more prevalent since the tributes had made it down to the final three. Whether by skill or by luck, Reaper had managed to avoid them until now, but his foe had caught up with him while he tried to catch a quick nap over by the teacups. Napping hadn’t been the best idea he had in the arena, though he had been so tired to think a half an hour wouldn’t matter. At first, he tried to run, but the tiger mutt seemed faster than he remembered. He tripped and fell over his own feet as he rushed through the teacups trying to avoid a similar fate to Zap. Though he attempted several swings at the animal with his mace, it was eventually knocked out of his hand with a rather painful swipe of claws to his forearm. “Fuck this.” Reaper knew there was no use trying to fight the mutt and just like before, he chose to run. With left arm clutched to his chest in an effort to stop the bleeding, he ran until he could no longer hear the mutt growling behind him. Once he stopped, he realized that darkness was starting to fall and it didn’t take long for him to find a building considering he was standing right in front of one. The House of Wax seemed as good of place as any to spend the night. |
