She'd called him babe and for a second, Ade stared at the words, wondering what sort of trick this was, but there was no trick. It might not have a label, but for now, Gwen was with him and he wasn't going to let a little things like former plans stop him from seeing her. He penned his reply without even thinking.

"Sorry, guys, something's come up," Adrian said, closing his journal. It had been his idea for a few of the boys from the team to come around for a bit of a poker night.

"Something or someone," came the retort from his fellow chaser, and Ade could just grin.

"Ditched for a woman!" the seeker said with a teasing laugh. "How the mighty have fallen."

"Yeah, yeah. Piss off, will you," Adrian said, and led his guests to the door. Once they were gone, he got busy cleaning up the kitchen, where'd they'd been playing, but when he heard the knock on the door, the table was still covered with cards, chips and empty glasses.

"Hey, baby," he greeted Gwen, so relieved that he could call her that, now, and even more relieved that he could kiss her whenever he wanted. Just like he did right now, and he pulled her into his arms to do just that.

	Lying back down on the bed next to him now, Gwendolyn curled up against him in his arms. She smiled at the feel of his fingers on her skin and looked over her shoulder at him, moving to kiss him briefly. "So tired, babe." She said, punctuating her sentence with a yawn. 	"G'night, Goddess of mine," muttered, then pressed a kiss to her shoulder. She was staying, then, and Ade could only hope that she'd still be there in the morning when he woke.
