WHAT: Catching up after the game
WHEN: Tuesday
WHERE: Falmouth Stadium
RATING: He hopes for high, but most likely low.

He hadn't heard from her, so when he looked over and saw a blonde head sitting next to his mother, it had distracted him. He had trouble focusing, which was probably why the Falcons had been losing. Eventually, though, he'd gotten his head back in the game and scored a couple of goals. It wasn't much, but it was their seeker that found the snitch, so it was enough. It was only after the game that he remembered that the girl he fancied had just spent nearly two hours sitting next to his mother. He shouldn't have mentioned it. Perhaps, if he hadn't told his mum that the girl he fancied might be coming, he could have just passed this thing between them off as just being a friendship. He dreaded to think of what she might have said, and the woman didn't give anything away as she gave him the customary praise and then gave him a kiss goodnight. With her promise to give his love to the girls, he let her go, before going over to where Gwen was, for some reason, waiting for him.

"I'm glad you came," he said, simply. He was going to keep his distance from her, because he didn't trust himself not to try and touch her. "Hope you enjoyed it, and my mum didn't talk your ears off."

	He felt like he had to say something. That had been part of his mistake last time. He'd never spoken to her about how he felt, so she never knew how he felt. It was terrifying, but he needed to open up, to tell her everything. "I need you, Gwen. It hasn't felt right without you," he told her, half sure that the words would send her racing out of here. Closing her eyes even tighter, Gwendolyn didn't really wan tot move. These moments were brief, but enjoyable. That is, until Adrian spoke. Propping herself up on his chest, Gwen sighed and looked at him. "You need to let me get my head around this." She said with a small frown and the shake of her head. She couldn't just run head first into this, as if nothing had happened. Maybe she should just go home.

"I can't." Gwen said with a shake of her head. "Not all night anyway." She added as she leaned back in to rest her head against his chest. "Maybe another hours." She added, yawning slightly. She closed her eyes briefly. She shouldn't stay the night, it would just toy wit his head even more than what they'd just done had. Not that she wasn't giving him a chance, but they needed to take this slow.

He didn't realise he was holding his breath waiting for her answer until she said no, and he found himself sighing. What had he expected? That one shag was going make her want to come running back? He was a fool and he'd probably just blown everything by proving to her how easily he succumbed to his sexual attraction to her. He didn't see why she couldn't stay, which meant that she didn't want to.

"Can I see you again?" he asked. "Be my date for my mother's Christmas party."

	Snuggling against him, Gwen nodded at his question. "Okay." She said and yawned again, her head resting happily against his chest. "I'll be your date for the party." She agreed, trying to decide whether it was worth to move and realising that it really wasn't, not yet, anyway. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Good. That's good," Adrian said with a smile. Mother would be pleased, he knew. He relaxed, letting his eyes close. His thumb gently stroked the skin of her shoulder, where he was holding her until he fell asleep, still smiling. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Nodding again, Gwen closed her eyes as she mumbled something. She was just going to rest for a little, and then go home. An hour should do it, and then she'd go home,and then they'd see what would happen. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

He couldn't tell how long he'd been asleep for, but a cramp in his shoulder was what woke him up. The reason for that cramp was the girl he was currently holding. He smiled. It hadn't been a dream. He shifted slightly, rolling onto his side to relieve the pressure on his arm. She was so beautiful all the time, but the peace of her sleep made her seem angelic. He touched her face, pushed back some hair, then slid his hand down to her waist before shuffling just the slightest bit closer. He fell asleep again, still smiling.
