Who: Ginny W. and Susan B.
What: Talk of the Box
Where: One of the Order's Safe Houses - The Burrow
When: Monday Night
Rating: Maybe low? Maybe a few choice words, but that's about it.
Status: Incomplete

Susan had left her pub in capable hands. Monday nights were typically busy, but she was sure that everything would be alright. What mattered wasn't the pub though. Oh no, it was something that both the Order and the Death Eaters were attempting to keep within their grasps. The box that was taken from a vault. Fleur was the last one to have the box, and her whereabouts were unknown at the time. After the Carnival, Susan felt even more paranoid with what was going on. She had been pretty banged up, but not as bad as some of the others. Something she was very thankful for.

So, when Ginny asked for some help, Susan couldn't deny her. This was why they were in the Order. The Safe House just happened to be the best place to talk about such matters. Everyone who frequented it was someone they could trust. Susan got there early so she could put a pot of tea on and talk with some of the other Order members that were there. The same worry that haunted everyone was still evident, but it was nice talking with the few there about other things.

Susan excused herself and waited for Ginny down in the kitchen while sipping her own tea.

"Hell.. It would be nice if they could check in every once in awhile. Just let us know they are alive." It seemed for a minute they were at least around. Currently, it was terribly quiet. "Maybe we should let them know we have at least one in our hands. Just so they don't have to worry about it anymore?" Not what the item was, or even who had it. Just that they had something in their hands. Still, Susan didn't want anything traced to her.

"I'll bring over something for him to eat. He'll need it after all the drinking." And maybe a hangover potion or two. "I wish it could. It would be nice if she just happened to have gone visit her family and didn't tell anyone. Or was sent somewhere for her job and she just appeared tomorrow." Yeah, that would have made everything so much better. Even Susan knew that wasn't the case.

"There has to be a way we can keep him distracted somewhere else." It would be too close to home for Bill to even try searching. "I hope we can, someway." Susan smiled and finished her tea. With a quick flick of her wand the cup washed itself and was put away. "Thanks, Ginny." She said with a small smile.

Ginny nodded in agreement. "I will have to ward them something and see if they get the message. It would be nice to hear from them and maybe they would care we have found the box." Ginny thought that was a plus for them and while she knew they were busy she couldn't help but feel they could check in once in a while. I mean it almost felt like they were kept in the dark because they weren't worthy though they swore it was for their own protection; yet, they were all capable adults so it wasn't really fair.

"He would appreciate that or I would anyhow," Ginny said with a laugh thinking of the time or two she had been stupid enough to get herself drunk. It wasn't a very pleasant feeling and it would surely only make things worse here. "If only it was that easy. Speaking of which I wonder if Bill has talked to Fleur's parents... Guessing that they're not here screaming maybe he hasn't."

There has to be something but she would have to think on it. "Short of a false lead I am not sure he can be distracted." They would think of something. "I am the one that owes you a thanks Susan."

"It really would. They haven't been near London since the Gala." Merlin, had it really been that long? Susan was rubbed her arm, it was still slightly bruised from the Carnival. She really needed to stop going to these social functions. "If you get through to them, tell them to stop by the pub. Just not what's there." Had Susan known what Ginny was thinking, she would have agreed. Still, each of them had parts to play and other things to do and protect. She just wanted to do more to move this never-ending battle along.

"Consider it done." It was the least she could do. A part of her felt terrible that she was going to be keeping such a secret from Bill, but they couldn't just let him know where the box was. "It might be best to keep them out of this for now. We couldn't deal with that many people in such a panic right now." Maybe it was for the best, or maybe it wasn't. Susan just didn't want to have to keep that many people calm.

"That's what we could do." Her past thought seem to vanish. "Perhaps if we find out that Bellatrix isn't in France, we could send him that way with her family. It might give us time to search London." It was a very breakable plan, but it was something. Even Susan didn't want to do it that way, but maybe it could help. "This is what we are meant to do. I am going to ask Archie for more help when it comes to creating charms to keep this hidden though."

"I will try but no promises," it really did irk her when they decided to ignore everyone and anything but at least she would try. It was the least they could do and if they didn't answer, well that was on them.

Ginny considered it a moment, "We could at least try." Anything was worth a shot. "Ask him and see if he can give you any help and I'll work on the rest of it. I am sure we can come up with something between the two of us." She had faith in them.

"It's something, right? With all that's been going on, we have to hear something from them soon." Right? There was so much going on now a days, they needed more information. They needed to know how to get rid of these things.

"We have to try whatever we can right now." Alright, maybe it was getting a little annoying that they were grasping at straws. "Alright. We have to be able to come up with something between all of us. Even the rest of the Order should come up with something." But not about the box, no one in the Order would know who held it. Just in case. For the first time, Susan touched it and wrapped it back up carefully.

"I hope so. If not we will have to track them down and strangle them." If anyone was actually capable of that Ginny would think it would be her mum. Molly was scary like that and it peeved her to no end not to hear from someone considering the circumstances.

"More ideas the better," at least it was in her book. "I am sure we will it will just take time. These things can't resolve themselves overnight unless the DEs decide to be nice and just give up but we both know that won't happen." Not in this lifetime or the next.
