Who: Astoria Greengrass and Susan Bones
What: Random Encounter FTW
Where: Diagon Alley
When: Evening of March 5th
Rating: Cattiness, so we will see.
Status: Incomplete

With the weather finally changing, the days growing warmer and longer, Astoria used the upcoming spring as a reason to take to Diagon Alley for a second time that day. In better spirits than she had been the week before, she needed to get out of the house and do something with herself. As the hours passed by, Astoria had traveled into one shop after another, only to come back out with a box or package added to the pile in her arms.

She'd been backing out of a shop, laughing at something the clerk had said when someone ran into her from behind. She would have turned around and excused herself, had the top box not fallen from the pile and crash to the ground. The contents obviously breakable. "What where you're going!"

"Not that its any of your business, but I was saying goodbye to the person who runs this shop. That is, after all, the polite thing to do. And for the record, I'm the one that has been assaulted here, and the one with items that have been destroyed in the process." Astoria gave Susan a look that spoke volumes to the annoyance she was being. "You should never assume anything."

"Its not a silly little trinket, nor is it for a little friend as you so rudely describe my Nan." Astoria was lying, but after so many years of telling the tale it came easy to her. "And for you information, its for the anniversary of her passing. I thought you of all people could be sympathetic to something like that... After all you've just lost a friend."

"For the love of..." Susan wished she could roll her eyes louder. This girl was overly infuriating. "It wasn't any of my business, nor do I care. Typically, people don't just walk out into a street without looking." After most of what Susan had already gone through, the look didn't do a single thing for her. "Why not? It seems perfectly acceptable now a days." It was a loaded statement, and one that Susan would gladly elaborate on if given the chance.

There was a slight sting of her last comment. Oh yes, she had lost a friend and a companion in arms. She had visited and sent flowers to the Patil family. "Are you going to continue to tell me the story of your life? I didn't realize that the anniversary of your Nan's passing was still so heartbreaking for you." Standing up and brushing off some dirt on her skirt, Susan shook her head. "Don't you dare talk of a friend being murdered as something to understand the death of a family member. Actually, don't you dare compare any of your families deaths to any of the murders I've had to endure." Though it hit a cord, Susan kept her voice even and quiet. The last thing she wanted to do was draw attention to herself. Susan didn't mean to be this angry, but she couldn't help it. Old age had nothing on the Bones' bad luck of murderous Death Eaters.
