Who: Alexander and Astoria
When: This morning
Where: The Greengrass house
What: A visit of sorts.
Warnings/Ratings: PG for language and veiled threats

Alexander kicked back and stared idly at the ceiling for a moment not really seeing it. It was boring and kind of trite like the rest of the house but the Greengrass' were old friends as most of the pureblood families were. No he wasn't here for a social call, this was business. If he had his way he would have sent one of the minions to do the job for him but if you wanted a job done right you had to do it yourself.

His old friend had let him in, surprised to see him, but knew better than to ask questions. Most people knew better than to ask Alexander what he was doing there. His fingers were nimble as he found the cuff of his shirt and started to roll it up to just below his elbows, eager to show off the "tattoo" that adorned his forearm. He needed the girl to remember just who he was and who he served.

"You know it's rude to keep someone waiting love," he pointed out as the blonde finally walked into the room, shown in by her father, who promptly left. Alexander was a lot of things but no one would question his virtue around the younger generation. Especially a blonde, he hated blondes. They were too sunny. "Why don't you take a seat and we'll get this over with and pretend we hit all the rubbish social stuff you ladies set so much store by."

"Don't worry, we have our own ways of keeping track of what needs keeping track of." He said with a shrug knowing that Voldermort was skilled at using certain tricks to get what he wanted and if not he was a master of getting the information from people. "Your daddy wouldn't dare lie to us if we were to ask anyhow."

"Most things women say don't make sense anyhow so why bother?" Most of them were a little cracked anyhow, look at Bellatrix. It was alright though because in the end they did make nice little pawns.

"No, I wouldn't expect him to lie to you." She looked down at her hands as they lay in her lap a moment before she raised her eyes to him once again. "Sir, you have now told me of my part to play, threatened me, and insulted me - all within the span of an hour. Are we finished?"

"We're not finished until I say so," He said easily knowing that no one, except the Dark Lord, dismissed him and least of all not an insolent child. "Your parents sure did a rubbish job raising you to have fine manners." Alexander got easily to his feet in one swift motion.

"No worries that debt however will between you and I. I will come to collect it when you least expect it from someone least expecting me." It was how the twisted balance worked in his mind. "Then maybe you'll learn to mind your manners."

"Very well." And with those two words muttered, Astoria sat back in the chair she had been seated in from the beginning and placed her hands in her lap. If he was going to play the manners card, she'd bite back every scathing remark she could think of. And at the moment, there were plenty. In doing so, she invoked the age old wisdom that every mother passed down to her children. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

"Is there anything else I am needed for?"

"Nope, sometimes the best way to add to something is to be silent." He said as he got to his feet and saw himself out. He didn't care if it was rude or what not. He still had to talk to her father and he felt he didn't owe her anything manner wise after her snarky remarks.
