Order Meeting!
Who: Order Members
When: Evening of February 26th
Where: Order Safe house
What: Status report of sorts?
Warnings/Rating: PG but with mentions of death/violence
Note: This is meant to primarily be an IC thread but OOC summaries are allowed

Minerva paced the room lost in her own thoughts and calculations. There had been too much going on lately and they didn't know the half of it. They had been expecting a werewolf attack but there was too much area to cover and she couldn't ask members to risk their own lives or their families; especially when several of them were already familiar with the horrors that were werewolves. Her brow creased as her thoughts wondered to the two newest additions to that, one death and one that would never be the same. It made her sign.

Before she could get too lost in the thoughts piling up in her head the Order members arrived. Some by themselves and some in pairs. There were so few of them to fight the horrors that were falling upon them. Yet she put on the familiar brave face and got down to business because there was enough to do.

"Welcome all," Minerva motioned to the chairs scattered around the room. "First let us take a moment to remember the victims of last night before we get started." She let the uneasy silence settle before continuing. "What we need now is a plan but first we need information. I hate to ask this all of you but we need to find a way to get it. This probably will not be the first attack of the sort so we now have 30 days to figure out what to do before the next one. Anyone connected to us will need to be protected which means moving people to safe houses or moving ourselves to them." It was easier said than done. "And I need to know if we have any new information on the Horcruxes. Do we still think one is at Gringotts?"

Minerva sunk back into her chair leaving the floor open for discussion on current issues, issues members wanted addressed and anything else that might be on their minds. She wanted to hear their input and suggestions.

Ginny slipped into the room silently and glanced around silently studying the familiar faces. They looked much like her own; worried and stressed. It had been a long day indeed and getting longer.

After saying hi to her brothers and friends she settled into a seat next to them to listen. She didn't have anything to add at the moment but it didn't mean that she wouldn't once everyone else got talking.

Fleur settled into her usual seat, sitting next to the usual faces, chewing on her lip silently. Her thoughts were with those suffering at the hands of the werewolf because she knew what that was like. She had personally felt and watched the fallout and knew that the worse was yet to come. They really did need to do something to prevent it from happening again because more than likely anyone connected to them was at risk.

"It would seem that one of the Horcruxes is at Gringotts but that is a lot of area to cover," it helped that they were doing routine checks of vaults but that would take a while and she couldn't exactly suggest certain ones without looking suspicious. "There has not been any suspicious withdrawals so they cannot be too worried we will find it yet." It didn't help that they didn't even know what they were looking for and if they did it there was no saying it wouldn't be hidden behind a bunch of wards or curses.

Mandy had to be there today. She wasn't sure what the plan was, and she wasn't sure why they were even gathering, though she imagined that what happened on the full moon was the main reason they were meeting. Who had stolen the potion was still an pen question, though she could hardly imagine that even at it's worst the Ministry was involved in such actions, as it risked everyone, not just those they deemed undesirable. Granted they were unhinged, but it just didn't make much sense. If anything, she would have imagined that they would have let themselves loose upon the Muggles.

The whole situation had played over in her mind, and she couldn't even count the number of times she'd wished she'd checked on Padma, made sure all of her friends were safely barricaded at home. She couldn't corner the market on grief though, and even as she made her way to one of the chairs, Mandy did her best to look as composed as she could. She might have lost a friend and classmate, but as she'd kept reminding herself all day she wasn't the only one. Some had lost far more.

Susan had left the Pub in charge of one of the few people she could trust. No one was using it as a safe house for the night, but that didn't mean someone wouldn't drop in unexpectedly. Susan had to keep her business safe and protected. Once she got to the Order Meeting safe house, Susan stood in the back and leaned up against one of the walls. She was always more comfortable standing instead of sitting.

After taking a moment of silence, Susan turned towards Fleur when she spoke. "It almost seems like the calm before the storm." As calm as werewolf attacks could be. "Can we just assume that they don't know what they are looking for in the vaults and we might have the upper hand? Especially with the checks?" Susan hadn't been too involved with the Horcrux hunting, but she still wanted to help in anyway she could. Sitting around and waiting was beginning to wear her down.

Lily had no idea if she would be truly welcome at the meeting but she and Oberon came anyway. "What does it say when werewolf attacks are the calm?" Lily said with a sigh.

"Do we know what we are looking for?" she asked. Lily was fairly sure that she could trip over a horicrux and never even know it.

Tonks was always a bit touchy about werewolf attacks, especially when the werewolf in question was Greyback. She sat as far away from Fleur and Bill as she could, not sure yet how forgotten her behaviour on Valentine's Day was.

She wished she didn't have to be here tonight. For her, the day after the full-moon was about making sure her husband was comfortable. The turns took so much out of him, even when he was on the potion. Last night had been even harder.

"The theory is items that belonged to the founders," she answered.

Mandy sat up a little straighter at the mention of the founders. It was probably her house, or just the fact that she adored history, but the founder's era had always fascinated her. Even though there wasn't much written on them, she'd read Hogwarts, A History more than a dozen times, in addition to most of the published biographies. Rowena's more than the rest, but then that was to be expected.

"What? Like all of them?"

"It is saying something when this feels like the calm before the storm," Ginny said with a sigh finding her words again. It wasn't really in her Gryffindor nature to sit idle and listen when she could contribute. "They're going to find out you know? That we're looking it's just a matter of time but we should use that time to our advantage."

It had also unnerved her that the Death Eaters had been unusual quiet lately. Did they know something? Or did they just have faith enough that they weren't going to find what they needed. Either way it probably wasn't good.

"Most of them anyhow..." Ginny shifted her hands through her hair. "Dumbledore destroyed Slyterin's locket... We know Hufflepuff's cup is out there some where... And we can assume something of Ravenclaw's." Ginny listed a few of the theories in place of the Trio.

"The cup was last seen at Gringotts," during the failed attempt by the Trio to retrieve it but Fleur left it at that. It wasn't like most of them didn't know the story anyhow. "There does not seem to be any indication that they have taken it else where." It really was the safest place to hide it with the Goblins being who they were and the fact that access to vaults was generally limited.

A thought popped into Fleur's head a moment. "It we had more people we could look faster..." Sure it would mean another break in at the bank but maybe with sheer numbers they could get it done. There were only a few Death Eaters known to be high enough to warrant such trust. She would bet the Cup was hidden in one of their vaults.

The lost Ravenclaw diadem was the very first thing to come to her mind as Ginny mentioned items from the founders. It was a frequently mentioned item, most of her house-mates knew about it, though no one had seen the item in question since Helena Ravenclaw left it in Albania. Despite the countless expeditions it was still lost, so that couldn't be it, could it?

Opening her mouth, she was going to say something when others continued. They'd moved on to the cup and at least someone had some idea where that had gone. "Can we get more people?" And as soon as she said it, Mandy shook her head, it was a stupid idea, how could they get more people.

Tonks sighed. If only getting supporters was that easy. Whatever people weren't already sympathetic to their cause, were generally too afraid to join a side either way. She knew Remus wasn't going to like what she said next, but she couldn't sit back and not help anymore.

"I could go back to work," she offered. "I know it's not much, but I could help at the bank."

It was hard being here right after the moon. Remus ached all over and part of him just wanted to soak in a bath or curl up with Tonks in bed. This was important though. He knew that he and Tonks were here to make a better world for Teddy to grow up in.

"What? No" Remus said looking at Tonks. He hated that he felt so unfocused. This past moon was worse because of the lack of Wolfsbane potion. "What can I do?"

"Sweetheart, I can't just sit around waiting for something to happen," Tonks argued, trying not to be too confrontational about it in front of everyone else. "We need to start getting more pro-active, and having me in the field would be a good way to kick-start that." She gave his hand a comforting squeeze.

"We suspect who the culprits behind the attack is, right? Can't we do something about going after them before the next moon. If we have them in custody during the change, we can stop anyone else being hurt."
