This had been by far the best holiday she'd ever had. Adrian had been brilliant, and it was just fantastic to be away from everything with her best friends. It certainly helped that the sun, sea and their holiday home was downright amazing. It might not have been summer in Puerto Rico, but compared to England, it was so much warmer and bright, and everything you could really expect from a holiday.

So, sneaking out of her bedroom, Gwen had changed into her bikini and grabbed her wand, sunglasses, quill and drawing pad, leaving Adrian in bed with a brief kiss. She wasn't sure if anyone else was up yet, and although it was hardly early morning and for the moment Gwendolyn thought better of checking to see if they were up. So, items in hand she headed down toward the beach for a but of sun and relaxation.

	Astoria had been up exploring the house and surrounding property since the sun first began to peek over the horizon. She'd just come back from walking down the beach to find Gwen out relaxing in the sun and smiled as she flopped down next to the other girl. "Morning Gwen. Sleep well?" (Reply to this) (Thread)

Having spread her towel out on the beach, Gwendolyn laid down on her stomach and started sketching. It was good to have the mid-morning sun on her back, and she knew she had to take advantage of the sun before they had to go back to England in a couple of days. If only they could stay there forever.

Not noticing Astoria until she felt her next her her, Gwen was a bit startled to hear her, and jumped a little. She smiled at the girl. "Morning. Very well, thank you. Have a good night?"

Astoria found herself blushing at Gwen's question and couldn't answer right away. Instead, she spread her hands against the warm sand and dug her fingers in. "I did." She muttered and looked out over the water.

"There weren't any bugs in your room was there?" The morning before she'd been terrified by a demon bug from hell, she was just curious if she was the only one visited by the eight legged creepy crawlies or not.

Gwendolyn recognised the look and the it wasn't at all hard to tell that Astoria looked like she wanted to say something with the way she paused and played with the sand. Normally, Gwen would have asked, possibly begged her to tell her, wanting to know all of the details. This time, however, she realised that she just really didn't care. "That's good." She heard herself say, glancing out toward the water.

"Bugs?" She asked, suddenly looking back at the other girl, eyes wide. That was not something she wished to consider. "No, I mean I haven't checked. Why? what did you find?"

Astoria nodded as she used her hands to describe the length of the spider that'd been in her room. Of course, she exaggerated. "I picked my sun hat up off the dresser in my room and there was this... well the only word I think sums it up is demon bug had made its home under my hat." She ended up shuddering as she remembered the way it had readied itself to pounce. "You didn't hear me screaming did you? Daphne came in and was able to stun the bugger and I threw it out the window. I don't know if there's any more out there or not. You'll know the type if you see it, it has all sorts of spikes on it."

Gwendolyn's eyes went wide as Astoria showed her the size of the spider. Pulling a face, Gwen found herself sitting up, even pulling her knees to her chest. "That's so gross." Gwen said with a shake of her head as she looked around them, as if just Astoria mentioning them might make the creatures appear. "No, don't think I hear it, was probably a bit busy." Gwen said with a shake of her head. She shuddered at the mention of spikes. "I'll have to keep a look out for them."
