Who: Kirley, Orsino and Elliot Thruston-Duke
When: Lunch time, Wednesday
Where: Duke's Music, Edinburgh
What: Elliot and O bring K some lunch
Rating: G
Status: Incomplete

Elliot’s head darted around as soon as he entered the music shop with Orsino, a grin coming to his face when he spotted his other father. “Da!” The two year old called out, tugging on O’s hand and trying to pull him over to Kirley.

“Settle Cub. Don’t rush. We don’t want to drop our lunch.” Orsino chuckled, walking over to his husband at a steady pace - one hand holding Elliot’s, the other carrying a basket with some lunch in it. As they got closer, O let go of Cub’s hand and let him run over to Kirley. The little boy giggled, hugging K tight as soon as he reached him.

“Da. Cub, Da-Skeez... mmm nomnom.” Elliot spoke, still babbling slightly, his excitement making the words he was trying to say run into each other. O held up the basket, a smile on his face and a spark of pride in his eyes. “We made lunch, Panda. Your favourite soup. Cub helped.”

Elliot seemed to get more soup on his tshirt than in his actual mouth as he ate his meal so he could play with the guitars in his Pa's shop. The little boy was very gentle with the guitars, careful not to break them. Apparently inheriting both his fathers' appreciation for the instruments.

The duck of Kirley's head at the compliment brought a smile to O's face, pleased he wasn't the only one that was shy at accepting compliments. At the question O gave a little shrug, an apologetic look in his eyes. "I think so. I mean... I didn't actually see him cooking but... I don't know. Just get the feeling he will be good at cooking, you know?" It was hard to explain the feelings Orsino had about things that hadn't happened yet. But Kirley would always listen to what O had to say about his dreams and feelings and not laugh - one of the many reasons why O loves K.

"All gone." Elliot piped up, dropping his spoon in the empty bowl. He looked up to K expectantly, waiting to hear that he had eaten enough to get to play. "Pease Da.... Boo?"

The apologetic look in his husband's eyes made him frown a tiny bit and he reached out to pat Orsino's leg again. 'It doesn't matter if you didn't see it, if you feel he will be then he will be.' K smiled, moving to stack the empty bowls together then.

'All gone?' Kirley parroted his little boy, a big grin on his face. The expectant look on Elliot's face made his heart melt, even though he knew the boy had him wrapped around his little finger. 'You're a mucky Cub,' pulling his wand from his pocket he cleaned the drips from Elliot's top. 'There, now we can go and play.'

O looked down at the hand on his knee and smiled, appreciating that Kirley was so understanding. "He will be whatever he wants to be. Anything I see... it's not fixed. We have to let him make his own choices, you know?" Orsino then picked up the stack of empty bowls and stood and moved over to the sink in the kitchen to wash them up. His Mumma had taught him from a young age to always tidy up after himself - a trait he hoped Elliot would pick up.

"Ma-kee." Cub parroted the word, looking down at his top. A gasp of shock escaped the little boy when the mess disappeared. Even though Elliot lived in a magic household, the muggle way was still used often and therefore magic still amazed him. "YAY!" Cub clapped, extremely pleased his Da said they could now play. He stood up, bouncing a little on his feet with excitement, and offered a hand to Kirley so they could go play together.
