Restless without a proper challenge? That was sort of it and sort of not. He had a challenge, a bit challenge, but no worthy leads to follow to solve. He was starting to come to terms with the prospect that getting everyone out of her might not happen for a while, though he wasn't ready to accept that such might not ever happen at all. They'd figure it out -- if not him, then someone -- it was just a matter of when. He no longer cared about being the one to solve the puzzle and be the hero, he just wanted to get out of this place, even if it meant leaving Seven behind to go back to their own respective times. Their different points in the time stream, nevermind in versions of that stream, was something he was all too aware of, but he felt that being with her now was better than not being with her at all.
"I was actually thinking about...teaching," popped out as he turned around to lean against the console. He turned his head to look at her. "At the university for the next semester session. There's a flex run that starts in October. I've got degrees in a handful of things and there's got to be something about instructing that makes for good captaincy practice."
