He didn't move when she joined him on the stairs. There was a very tiny amount of people within the city that Spike felt he enjoyed conversing with thus far - tiny meaning about...well, zero - so being here with Dawn, who he knew he'd be able to stand to a point, was all right by him. It helped keep him from dashing off to find Buffy like some sort of desperate moron anyway, which was always a plus. Clasping his hands together, Spike leaned forward, tipped his head to the side to look over at her, and smirked.
"You really think that because you haven't run into any that they don't exist?" He snorted, shaking his head. "Kid, there are baddies everywhere you go. They don't have to be all..." He lifted his hands and made a mocking vampire face before shrugging and settling back into his former position. "There's bad everywhere, like I said. Thought you'd be clever enough to figure that one out." He reached out with a hand and playfully ruffled her hair. "Guess that realistic guidance went out the window when I did, eh?"
