WHO: Noah Bennet and Noah Gray
WHAT: Noah meets his namesake.
WHEN: Early evening
WHERE: Room #109A
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress

After the somewhat awkward discovery that the younger version of his mother was pregnant, as well as the simultaneous return of Sylar, not to mention discovering that he wasn't a Petrelli by blood or any other fashion nor was Claire the psychotic bitch that he knew her to be, it was safe to say that Noah Gray was about as confused as he'd ever been. Everything he knew both about himself as well as his family had been turned upon its ear in a very short period of time and he was helpless to do much if anything to sort any of it out.

There was, however, one mystery he could lay to rest.

The enigma that was Noah Bennet was something that had always piqued his curiosity. From the moment he had been old enough to know what being named after someone else meant, he had wanted to know all that he could about his namesake. Who the man was, the things he'd done, the life he'd led. Anything and everything he could gleam from those who had known Noah Bennet were questioned and, slowly but surely, a profile of a man had been created inside his mind.

Yet it still wasn't enough. The desire to meet him, to look him in the eye and see the person face-to-face had been a long held desire for Noah. And while he knew that this version of Noah Bennet wasn't the same version as the one he'd been named for, Angela had been right during their conversation the other night. It was the only version he'd likely ever meet and, if he wanted to know about him, he should simply walk the few doors down the hallway and talk to him.

So that was precisely what Noah decided to do. In a world where nothing made sense and he had lost the tenuous control he felt he'd had over the already bizarre situation, he opted to grasp onto the one thing he could do.

The only problem was, thinking about doing it and actually seeing it through were two very different things and it took him quite a few minutes of preparation to leave his apartment and make that short trek. Once he'd reached the other door he simply stared at the golden nameplate above it for a good minute or two before finally working up the nerve to raise his hand and knock.

Noah had offered as a courtesy. If the boy had actually asked for alcohol, he probably wouldn't have given it to him. Maybe. It depended a lot on how the boy requested it. He was from the future, so maybe drinking age was lowered or his parents thought he was mature enough. But that wasn't the point of letting the boy in. It was just a momentary curiosity. And Noah did make him curious. Why on Earth had Sylar and Elle named their child after him? It didn't really make sense, unless things had changed drastically in that future. Then there was the matter of what ability the boy had, since there was no way he didn't have one, and how that affected his interactions with his father. There were so many questions raised by the boy's presence.

Of course, he was more interested in Noah's questions, though 'Is that an MRI machine?' hadn't been on the list of what he'd expected to be asked. In retrospect, he supposed it was an strange sight to anyone unused to the oddities of the apartment he shared with Parker and Claude, but he was used to it. Not that it had really taken any getting used too for him. He had, after all, helped to steal the item in question and others that were around.

"Parker needed a bed," he said by way of explanation, though it really explained nothing.

Noah blinked. "Who is Parker?" he asked almost immediately before shaking his head, "Not really any of my business. Sorry."

His brows furrowed slightly as he tore his gaze from the machine, back to the other man. He wanted to inquire as to why this Parker would want a medical device as a bed instead of a mattress or something equally soft and designed for comfort.

He didn't ask, though. Simply studied his namesake for a long moment with an unreadable expression before stating, "I wasn't going to come here. I didn't want to bother you. But then it was pointed out to me that this is the only shot I'm going to get at this and I'd be pretty dumb not to take it." He didn't know why he'd told Bennet all of that. It wasn't important, not really. Then again, what was important that he could bring up? He was still unsure what else to ask.
