WHO: Q and Q Junior
WHAT: Q has a little chat with his son. (AKA: The current in-game Event draws to a close.)
WHEN: Late night
WHERE: The rooftop of the Grand Library, at least to start with. With these two, there's no telling where they might end up though.
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress

Junior stared out at the hubbub of the city beneath him from his perch on the roof of the Grand Library. He was perched on the railing on the outermost edge, legs hanging over the side and feet swinging idly to and fro. If someone were to look up and spot him they would probably think he was contemplating jumping to his death, or some other ridiculously mortal thing. Junior smirked at the thought and debated having someone glance up for precisely that reason but decided against it. If they did, they'd feel the urge to call someone to 'help' and then he'd have to find another spot in the city to get away from the bipeds. As he was growing rather fond of this spot, he didn't want to have to do that if he could help it.

So instead he stayed perched on the edge and simply willed the mortals below not to look up at him. As far as they were concerned, he wasn't there. The building was, but the urge to look up at the roof wasn't something that even occurred to them. It was a simple manipulation and, all things considered, a very mild use of his abilities compared to what he'd been up to as of late.

Of course, now that some time had passed since Junior had begun randomly altering the personalities of those around him, he was growing bored of even that rather ingenious little trick. That was the main reason he was on the roof - the very place he'd received inspiration the first time around - in the hopes of coming up with something else to do to ease his boredom. Because while he hadn't changed that many people back to normal just yet, he had a feeling his father was going to start pushing the issue soon. And if Junior was going to turn things back into the boring display of relative normalcy that they were before, he was going to have something to keep him occupied after the fact.

He just had no idea what. "It's really rather ridiculous," he muttered to himself. "All of the power I can possibly fathom at my fingertips, and I can't come up with anything worthwhile to do."

Junior blinked, torn between being slightly annoyed and wary. He was being threatened with the petri dish again? Really, didn't his father have anything else to use against him? Not that he was going to say any of that, of course. He barely even let the thought flicker through his mind before it was replaced with a decided feeling of vague amusement.

"Help them?" he echoed, lips curling a bit into a ghost of a smirk. "You want me to help the bipeds." He paused, waiting for the punchline of the joke, or at the very least a 'No, of course not'. When he received neither, Junior blinked again before all but shouting his next statement.

"You were the one who introduced Starfleet to the Borg and those were the bipeds with real potential. Yet you want me to assist the ones here with their problems?!?" He was, quite simply, beside himself over such a thought. "That's... that's ridiculous! Why should I help them? I don't see you helping them."

Then he fell silent and into a very obvious huff complete with a scowl to match.
