WHO: Claude Rains, Noah Bennet, and Parker
WHAT: The morning following Noah's birthday scavenger hunt.
WHEN: Morning
WHERE: Their apartment
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress

Parker had to admit, she was rather impressed with Noah at the moment. He'd caught on relatively quickly to her particular idea of fun the night before, hadn't fallen on his face and died, and had added his own twist to the evening during a few of their more interesting heists. Especially, she'd noticed, once they were back at the apartment with the stolen goods.

Take the spotlight stolen from the roof of the jail, for example. Parker hadn't been quite sure what she wanted to do with the thing at the time she'd put it on the list. She'd just known it would be fun and possibly a little challenging to lift the thing without being seen. Yet Noah's suggestion that they stick it in Claude's room had been the perfect idea, as far as she was concerned, so they'd done precisely that.

Now it was the next morning and said spotlight was programmed to turn on at any second. Sitting at the kitchen table, Parker was wearing her new bathrobe - complete with the hotel's insignia and light golden-colored trim - and happily eating a bowl of Captain Crunch. There was an adorable mouse lemur perched on her shoulder, munching on a small piece of peach. The creature paused, mid-chew, when a muffled sound came from the direction of Claude's bedroom.

Parker, meanwhile, grinned to herself and absently patted the animal on top of the head with one finger. "Claude's awake," she announced, gaze sliding across the table to Noah and her grin turning almost goofy before she stuck another spoonful of cereal into her mouth.

Claude didn't need to ask, not really. Noah would explain the situation. Of course, whether or not that explanation would clear things up or just make the whole thing more baffling was a different point entirely. "Parker planned a heist...well...more of a scavenger hunt really," he said calmly, flipping through the paper, as if he were talking about the weather, "for my birthday. It was very thoughtful of her." And it had been. He'd thoroughly enjoyed himself, and it had certainly put an end to any thoughts that he was getting old.

"Yes, dear?" Noah looked up from the paper, raising an eyebrow. Only he would take being called a bastard as practically an endearment, not to mention responding with a term of affection almost guaranteed to further annoy Claude. "I have no idea what you're referring to. I thought the color suited you. You mean you don't like it?"

The lemur had abandoned the table at this point to climb up Noah's arm and make itself comfortable on his shoulder, so he reached up idly to pet it and give it more fruit. It was kind of cute, in a creepy sort of way. He looked over at Parker curiously, a thought suddenly occurring to him. "Are we supposed to name it?" he asked. It was almost funny how he was unfazed by an impromptu night of grand theft that included stealing a lemur, but the idea of naming said lemur baffled him.

Parker beamed at Noah's appreciation for her present. She'd put some thought into it and, while part of her had worried that he wouldn't be game, it turned out that he'd apparently had quite the time. As had she.

The smile, however, faded when Claude made it obvious that he didn't like the bathrobe they'd gotten for him. Men, she thought before surging to her feet with an audible huff. "Some people," she stated out loud, eying Claude with a slightly annoyed look, "are way too picky."

With a flick of her wrist she yanked on the tie holding her bathrobe closed and let it fall open. Completely oblivious to the fact that she was nude underneath, she shrugged the garment from her shoulders and tossed it over the chair before snatching up the pink robe and pulling it on. Once she had tied it firmly she flopped back down in the chair and picked up her bowl of cereal once again.

Then she froze and her eyes went as wide as saucers. "Name it?" she echoed. Her voice was tinged with apprehension. "But... I don't name things. I steal things. And you can't steal a name," she stated in a mild panic.
