For a moment she thought he would just let her go; however, when he followed her, her heart began beating more than just a bit faster as her feet picked up the pace. She had heard stories about things like that in her natural time and seen things like that in movies. It almost never ended well. Kathy felt even more ridiculous for not paying attention to the setting sun but she refused to allow herself to cower in fear, no matter how terrified she was feeling.
When he moved in front of her, she let out a low breath of relief that was stilted earily and turned into a slight hiccup of fear, a high-pitched gasp, when he turned abruptly to face her. Immediately she back-pedaled and it was a mircale that she hadn't fallen flat on her arse.
"Yes." She said, her chin firming just slightly. "I do. If'n yer so curious about it, ye should take a gander at yer own." Kathy replied. Apparently being polite meant nothing. "It should be in the device." This time, she didn't move. She would wait for him to leave first and if he made a move towards her she would stab him.
