Elena hadn't done much with the room since getting there yesterday. Which means it's currently as plain as it was when she first got here. Except for the small addition of some flowers that had been gathered from a garden she'd found close by. Who'd miss them, really. They were settled around the room a little to give it some color. Otherwise except for a purse and the shoes she'd taken off, the room was pretty empty.

She opened the door after sending that last message. And then settled on the bed she'd claimed as hers to wait. She kind of wished Clay were here too. A strange girl claiming to be her daughter, and that she had a twin brother...Elena wasn't too sure how to wrap her head around that. Though having a piece of Clay's clothing without Clay being here would help make her believe a little better. Of course thinking of the future made her wonder if Clay had ever gotten rid of that old Toronto University sweater.

He paused, looking at Elena. "We wouldn't..not in front of kids. I mean, we stopped when we heard Savannah.." He thought about that for a few minutes, tapping his finger lightly off of his chin. No, he couldn't say that they wouldn't. Would they? He shrugged a little bit and smirked. "Katherine. Or Kate. What about Katie?"

He stepped back after she had returned the hug and sat back down next to Elena, taking her hand and lightly playing with her fingers because really, he had nothing else to do. "..I figured as much."

She raised a brow at him. "You can occasionally get one track minded." There's a glint in her eyes that says yes she'll blame this on him if she can. "So I wouldn't say for certain we wouldn't. Besides all it would take is us out in the forest or an unlocked door." Both of which were completely possible, especially the forest one if it was a nice day. "Or Kat, Kitten." She offers from her spot on the bed with a small smile.

Elena shifted to her knees to wrap Katherine in a hug. Still weird, but getting better. Part if it would always be a little weird because she had no memories of raising a daughter. Meant on her end she needed to build the relationship from scratch. "Please, keep it." She grinned. "He can get a new one if he wants one."

She looked to Elena with a smirk, nodding once. "Bingo. Forrest. It was my own fault really...or half mine, half Logan's." either way, they had known their parents were in there somewhere, and yet they had decided to go in anyway. "Either way, I learned my lesson, and everyone else had a laugh at my expense."

"You can get away with Katie." she said with a smile. "I'm not exactly the feline type. But I've also heard that one." she said in response to the 'Kitten' nickname. She didn't hear it often though, because most people who tried to call her that when she was younger got an earful from her.

Returning the hug, she breathed in her scent as she did so. This was still weird, but the scent made her feel more secure, safer. She wasn't at home, but at least she had her parents, even if they were a lot younger than what she was use to. "I plan on it." she said with a laugh. "It's pretty much been mine since I was old enough to start running away after I stole it from the closet."

He shrugged a little bit and tugged his mate into his lap, keeping his arms wrapped about her for the time being. This, of course, after she had given the other girl a hug. He snorted and shrugged again.

"Yeah, well..your mother and I will call you what we damn well please." Manners? Clayton? Never! Who ever said he needed them?

"Eh, well it's yours for now and ever then." He shrugged a little, slightly amused at that moment in time.

"Forest has always been fair game for playing. Granted now you know to be careful if you know we're out there." There's the faintest smirk for the comment. She's not going to apologize for something she loves doing in that forest. Even if it has the ability to make her future daughter go 'Ewww!'

Elena curled into Clay's lap easily, head moving to rest against his shoulder after the hug. He'll learn manners if it takes Elena and Jeremy drilling them into him for the rest of their lives. Especially towards family. Her head shifts at that comment, under his chin to give a warning set of teeth against his throat with a soft growl. Sometimes a more wolf response settled in his head better. "You will be nice to family. Especially your own children." She murmured as she let go of his throat.

Elena turned back to Katherine with a sympathetic smile, "Please tell me he's better in the future?"

"No worries, I've learned to always check ahead of time to make sure you're both not there now." she wasn't about to make that same mistake twice. She'd never hear the end of it.

Biting back a laugh, she just shook her head. Yeah, she'd heard that one before too. It didn't matter what names she protested, he'd probably call her whatever he wanted to, even if it was Kitten. Ugh. Her hand came to her mouth, covering the smirk the came across her face at the sight of her parents. They were still the same as ever, even if they were younger. It was almost cute in a way. They just belonged together.

Kate arched an eyebrow at her mother, giving her an 'are you serious?' sort of look. "The phrase you can't teach an old dog new tricks comes to mind." she said with a grin. "Sorry, you're stuck with him as his. His charming personality doesn't change."

He kept his arms tight around Elena, snorting at that. "Yeah, I imagine you have." He muttered and nipped her shoulder, his chin resting lightly on it.

As she turned her head to bite his throat in warning, he growled softly into her ear. He could be growly with her, but not that often. At that moment, he was pretty growly. He looked at Katherine and smirked. "Nice try, kitten. but if you're anything like me? you're probably smirking right now." He muttered and kissed his mate's shoulder again; he loved her more than anyone else in the world.

Snorting, he shifted a bit to lightly swat Elena on the butt. "That's right. You're stuck with me as I am."

There's a nip to his ear that's more playful than anything. It's not like she expected him to be happy with that move of hers anyway. She was just trying to get his attention in the easiest and least 'eww' factored (for Katherine) way. She leaning back against Clay comfortably, shifting her head just enough to put her nose against his throat for a moment. Just taking in his scent for a moment.

She turned to look at Katherine with a soft smile, the faintest sound low in her throat for Clay's swat. She never really saw them coming sometimes. "Guess it's a good thing I love him, huh." The smirk is clear on her face and in her tone.

She lowered her hand, making bringing her face to the best 'innocent' look she could muster, eyes going wide, to stare at her father. Smirking? What, her? Never.

"That's what you always say." she said, eyes flicking to Elena, mostly blocking out the exchanges between her parents now, like she normally did. She'd got to the point where she could make herself not even notice it these days, it made things less distracting.

Looking behind her to to her bag, she sighed. It was probably best she went and unpacked, or at least dumped everything on to the floor, and gave these two some alone time. Maybe they needed to practice making her and Logan. Blah. "I think I'll go dump my stuff and then find some place to go for a run." she said, stretching her arms over her head and sliding to her feet. If it was a two legged or four legged run, she hadn't decided yet. "I'm just upstairs if you guys ever look for me." She flashed a cheeky grin at them, before heading over to the door to pick up their bag. It looked like they were going to have plenty of time to get to know her if they wanted to.

He smirked a little bit at her and his eyebrow shot up. Yeah, she was definitely his kid. He could tell just by the way that she acted, to be perfectly honest. He snorted and shook his head once more.

"Yes, at least she loves me. Otherwise she'd not put up with it." He murmured and moved his hand to rest it on Elena's side innocently. As if he hadn't just swatted her on the butt and looked highly amused by it.

"Take care of yourself, Kitten. We'll see you another time." He promised, smiling at her.

"God only knows what I'd do if I didn't love you." She murmured softly, as her head rests back against his shoulder. One of her hands moves a little to rest on top of his, thumb tracing small circles against it.

"We'll be here if you need or want us." Elena said with a smile and a nod. She wanted to get to know her daughter. Sure there was the whole she'd get to know Katherine as she grew, but Elena wasn't sure when that would be and there was an adult version walking around.

Adjusting her bag on her shoulders, she took one step out the door and then smiled. "By Mom, Dad, see you later." she gave a small wave of her fingers before vanishing from sight, heading back to the stairs to go up one more level.

She'd toss her stuff and then do a bit of exploring of the city. They were all going to need to find the wooded areas anyway, she could say for herself she so wasn't about to run around this city once a week. When she got to her room, she found her key, her took a few seconds to look around the place, dumped her bag, and was on her way out again.
