After the last few days Violet decided a night on her own to test the telescope was in order. She had spoken with one of the Starfleet officers and was quite hopeful her telescope would shed some fresh insight. "Curious" she mused as she adjusted a lens,"The talk about a second moon seems to be correct". She made some notes in her research book as she worked, half watching for more signs of Count Olaf and part of her hoping for a friend. "But with lack of light from the city I should be able to discover a bit more" she mused, not knowing anyone could listen in or read her notebook.

	"It is interesting, all this talk. I mean I wasn't that surprised when people started claiming we weren't on Earth, but it's good to get some sort of proof." She stepped closer, glad that the ice seemed to have been broken. She may not know an awful lot about stars but she'd travelled amongst them for long enough. "I'm Rose, by the way. Rose Tyler." 	"It was like all this talk of a second moon just brought me back to life, my field is more along the lines of inventions but I just love science" as Violet adjusted a lens. 	"Your field?" So she was some sort of scientist? That was quite cool, she guessed, could be a fun job to have. If she was smart enough that was, Rose never really had the brains for science. 	As Violet worked she explained,"I'm more used to inventing things but after all the talk on the network I got inspired. Plus it is something to move my focus from other matters" meaning her more private battle of Count Olaf induced bad memories. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"I know the feeling. I just wish there was something I could do to feel useful." She could only help through what she had found out travelling with the Doctor, then working with Torchwood, and something told her that would not really help in this sort of situation. 	"Klaus and Sunny are my younger brother and sister. Count Olaf was as I heard some say here a total wackjob. But he was after our family money and would do anything to get it" Violet explained. "He killed our parents and tried to pass himself off as various guardians, bit of a failed actor so he had a decent sized bag of tricks to boot". (Reply to this) (Parent)
