WHO: John Winchester & Abby
WHAT: John Winchester goes looking for a vampire without the intention of killing it. How did his life get to this point?
WHEN: Sunday, April 7th; Afternoon
WHERE: Outside the City
RATING: PG-13
STATUS: In Progress
It was less of a request and more of a demand, to go and retrieve the small, female vampire that he'd had a run in with not long after he'd first arrived, from where she'd been hiding herself since their memories had returned. Normally, with the information that he'd been given, he would have had more than enough reason to put her down, but considering the way that he had spent his own time during that lull basically being a homeless, criminal recluse whose only interactions were with Parker, he couldn't help but feel that he had to at least give her the benefit of the doubt. None of them had been at their best during that time and to condemn one person for their actions was to condemn them all. Not something John was really against in principle, but when it included him, it was a little more sketchy as to how he could proceed like that.
So while he'd armed himself before heading out, something done mostly out of a sheer amount of common sense and the knowledge that a vampire that far removed from society would likely be in pretty bad shape by the time she was found, most of the things that he'd packed were a means of making sure that she survived the trip back. While a blood bag had been his first thought, John remember quickly enough what he'd heard. She could only drink live. Live applied to a lot of things, though, and no one had ever specified that it had to be live and human so the acquisition of a rabbit from a local pet shop had been what he'd gone with in the end. It wasn't exactly the most refreshing option, he imagined, but the idea of sacrificing a rabbit didn't grate on him nearly as much as some other animals might. They were technically food in a lot of places, after all.
It didn't make much difference to the rabbit whether it was a vampire or a Frenchman who did the eating, if you asked him.
So that was how he set out of the city, taking the directions that he'd been provided by the young Ms. Suresh, and figuring that if he didn't find her by the time the moon was high in the sky, she'd more than likely find him. John just hoped he was quicker.
