Adam chuckled at the question, knowing it wasn't really a question anymore than his laugh was really a laugh. "Yeah," he replied with a shake of his head. Absently he picked at the label on his beer, rolling the bottle lightly between his fingers, from hand to hand. "More like..." He trailed off for a second and exhaled, calming himself a bit. His expression was still very cut off when he looked up, though.
"I was human. That's all the reason for punishment he needed."
That was, of course, the long and short of it. No matter what else he might have done, or considering doing, ultimately he was a human being and Lucifer despised him simply for existing. Michael, of course, hadn't been quite so direct about it, but it had still come down to pretty much the same thing at the end of the day. Adam was there, he was the "face" of what had gone wrong, and he was going to be punished accordingly.
Blinking to draw himself back to the here and now, lest he lose himself in memories he'd rather forget, Adam slowly turned his gaze back to his father. "I don't really know what happened to Dean and Sam, after that," he admitted. "I'm guessing the world is still turning but I just... don't know."
