WHO: Claire Winchester, Steve Rogers, & Lucifer
WHAT: Three now perfectly human individuals get drunk in order to not have to worry about the situation they're in. And because they usually can't normally.
WHEN: November 18th; Evening
WHERE: The Roadhouse
RATING: PG
STATUS: In Progress

It had been a bizarre feeling. Walking was slow, painfully and agonizingly slow, and while riding in a car had been faster, to Lucifer's mind, it was still so tedious. Castiel had been right when he'd described the car journey in such a rather succinct way because that was all it would be to an angel who was capable of instantaneous travel. Slow. Not that he didn't appreciate Claire saving him the extra minutes that it would have taken to walk down to the Roadhouse, but as the three of them piled out of the car, he was utterly thankful for having arrived at their destination. The Roadhouse was a place that Lucifer normally wouldn't have set foot in unless it was to pain the walls red with hunter blood, but since he'd been here, it had become obvious that the place was much more a neutral ground than it would have ever been in their own reality. Which was just another example, in Lucifer's mind, of how this place could change things for the better just as much as it could change things for the worst.

Like this, right now, which seemed to be a half and half toss up for all of them. Moving forward and pulling back to door, Lucifer flashed a toothy smile at the other two before gesturing for them to enter, "After you," He said, figuring that holding the door was the least he could do. Any damage to Claire would likely result in Dean going biblical on his ass, and this other guy, Steve something or other, looked like he would break in two if he even tried to hold the door himself. And he could be nice when he wanted to be. Even if his main motivation at the moment was self-preservation, and his Mother would likely say it didn't entirely count because of that, he was marking it down in the good deed for the day column.

"So, you guys scope out a table, and I'll grab the first round," Lucifer said with a grin as he slipped into the bar after them. "Anyone any have preferences, or should we just start slow and work our way up?" He asked, shifting a glance briefly to Steve. After all, just how much would it even take to get that kid drunk? Half a beer?

Claire couldn't help it. Yes, it was Lucifer. Yes, he wanted to wear her brother-in-law like a cheap suit. But even with all of that, she still laughed. "Bowling?" she echoed, ignoring the whole dancing part of the equation for the moment. Taking a sip of her beer, she grinned. "Somehow, I don't think having me somewhere that has ten to twenty pounds of foot crushing weights being flung around on slick wooden floors is going to work. That's tempting fate a little too much." Or Asaph. Half the time, Claire was pretty convinced he let things happen to people in the city not so much to learn from it - although that happened, too - but rather because he just found it funny.

Sitting back in her chair a bit, Claire raised her glass to her lips and mused thoughtfully, "I'm sure we can come up with something, though." Hell, get enough alcohol into them and she knew there was every chance bowling would happen if only because it was the one they'd discussed the most.

She took a drink then set her beer down, looking first at Lucifer then at Steve. Her fingers danced along her glass as she considered them, and their options for the evening. Finally she decided not to worry about it immediately. It was time to see just what the night had to bring. So instead of picking something to toss into the pile, she said with a grin, "As long as we keep the drinks coming."
