Gabriel found the young creature next to him rather fascinating. He hesitated to call her a young woman, as she clearly was not human, but he wondered if the terminology he used in his mind would offend her. He certainly did not mean it in any offensive manner, she was a creature after all as were all things, and he had no desire to cause her any distress. It was strange to be away from heaven, within a vessel, interacting with a mortal, but he found that he was enjoying it. He worried at just how much he enjoyed it, concerned that he might be straying from his Father's will by doing so, but he finally convinced himself that if it were something his Father did not wish He would simply say so. Besides, he was helping the girl next to him. He was protecting her. Surely that was a noble endeavor.
The fact that they were walking through the park, eating ice cream, while he watched over her, was of little consequence. He was merely doing his best to better understand humanity while imprisoned among them. He had learned that, though they were simple creatures, they had some good ideas. Like chocolate ice cream. That was a very good idea. Looking over at his companion, he gave a small smile. "Ice cream is very interesting," he said, tilting his head to look back at the cone that was beginning to melt in spite of the cool weather. "I think...I am quite fond of it." He paused. "So..." he said thoughtfully after amoment. "Tell me about yourself. I must confess I know little of your kind."
