WHO: Hank McCoy and Raven Xavier
WHAT: Taking Abu to the park, which might also be a date
WHEN: Backdated to Monday, September, 24th. Early Afternoon
WHERE: The park
RATING: PG at the most?
STATUS: In Progress

For the entire three weeks that he had been unable to see Raven, all Hank could think about, besides the fact that the mansion was far too quiet, was that he missed her and would make it a point to ask her out again once they were able to see one another again. It had been a little while since the last time they'd gone out and he found that he wanted to do it as often as possible, but he didn't know exactly how Raven felt. Of course, she had asked him out that one time and she had kissed him, so he was pretty sure that she felt the same way he did. Now if only they could decide exactly what that meant, everything would be good. He knew he was a little awkward when they were together, but then again Hank was awkward around most people, it was just that around Raven he wanted to impress her, so he wound up coming off just a bit more awkward than usual.

So, once they had been able to see each other once again, Hank had made it a point to ask Raven out as soon as he got up the nerve and couldn't have been happier when she said yes. However, he wasn't exactly sure whether or not taking Abu to the park was actually a date or not. He didn't want to ask Raven if she thought it was a date, because that would just make things awkward and that was the last thing that Hank wanted.

"How did you spend the time when we couldn't see anyone we knew?" He asked as they walked along the path in the park. He assumed that while they could only not see anyone from their own realities, she had spent the majority of the time with Stephanie, but he was curious as to what she had done the rest of the time. He was sure that no matter what it was, it had to have been more interesting than what he had done.

"Worked, mostly," Raven replied with a crinkling of her nose. "And hung out in the Danger Room a lot." She knew her answers weren't exactly the most thrilling, but they were the truth. Fact was, when she hadn't been able to see anyone she knew, she had realized rather quickly that she also had no urge to meet new people either. So she'd done what she did best. She'd pouted, a lot, until finally she'd gotten her way and could see everyone again.

Casting a grin over at Hank, keeping half an eye on Abu because, leash or not, the little monkey was pretty quick on his feet and able to slip away from her without much effort if he really wanted, she asked the man beside her, "What about you? Hang out in your lab a bunch?" Which was typical, for him, but that was okay. Raven liked that about him. He was predictable. Reliable. Considering she very much wasn't, she needed that influence in her life in the form of someone who wasn't her brother.

Now if she could just figure out what she and Hank actually were, things were be perfect.

"At least we were still able to see Stephanie, Damian and Isabel for most of the time." Not that Hank had actually spent much time with any of them; after all without Raven, hanging out with Stephanie or Damian was awkward sometimes. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the two Gothamites, but they were polar opposites of him and sometimes it was hard to tell whether or not Damian was making fun of him or not. "Yes, I did spend most of the time in my lab. At least until the silence started to get to me and my mind began playing tricks on me." While Hank knew that the mansion likely wasn't haunted, that hadn't stopped him from hearing noises as well as seeing things in the shadows that weren't really there. "I did go out a few times though. I needed to hear voices and see people. I may not have interacted with them, but the silence was too much to bare."

Hank knew that Asaph's intentions had been to get everyone to branch out from their own little circle of friends, but in some cases, like Hank's that was much easier said than done. After all, Hank still couldn't quite believe that he had the friends he did and in Raven, Charles and Erik's case they had been friends for quite some time now, so he was able to relax and let his guard down around them, more so than those that hadn’t come from their particular reality. So, making new friends was not an easy task for Hank. The fact that he spoke to the other scientists was also quite an accomplishment and it had taken the Fear Toxin epidemic to even push him to do that. If the whole Fear Toxin thing had accomplished one thing, it had helped Hank to see that in situations like that, it was best to work together as opposed to simply taking it upon himself to try and work out the problem on his own. "What do you think about the general consensus that Asaph isolated us in an attempt to force us to make new friends? Do you think that was his intention?" Hank adjusted his glasses as he glanced over at Raven.
