Kristina put on one of the skimpiest outfits she could find, the one she was normally seen in. Checking her makeup in the mirror she took a deep breath as she left the apartment headed to town. Not managing to find a job yet she regretted not buying a car but headed down to the bar knowing vaguely where it was. After some questioning and turning around she faced the door that read Serpent's Den, reading her PDA she was sure this was the place. Opening the door she looked around, not many people were around but then again it was one of numerous bars. Sitting down she waved at the bartender her voice soft and smooth. "Jack on the rocks please." It was turning quickly into a signature drink almost like her outfit. Timidly she downed the drink then waited wondering if the guy would be able to pick her out of a crowd.

"The people who are close to me are pretty safe. I only came close to Elena one time, but I was compelled to hurt her. I actually resisted." He was quite proud of himself for that. He knew when Bree had left. There was a distinct change in attitude. Perhaps he could handle her. She had revealed things to him, but then she left.

"She is a meth addict. She probably wants it every day, every minute thinking about that next high. I do that too. Blood is my drug. It's the same thing. It's also my choice. I might not see that when I am letting the need control me, but I do now." He smiled gently, stroking her hair. "I can handle it now. My teeth grow, but that is something I can't control. I like being around people. I can never have children, but we like to try making them."

He laughed a little bit at his brother's old joke. "I haven't killed anyone here. I wanted to when I got here, but my brother had some bags from the blood bank, which is what we feed on. Yum, yum O positive."

Kristina opened her moth to say something but hesitated and changed her mind. She listened to him talk trying to find connections between her inner monster and his. Thoughtfully she rolled onto her back and looked up at him as he spoke, smiling softly. Reaching up with her hand she ruffled his hair a tad and tilted her head a bit dazed at how handsom he was. "Why did you get close to her, if you were compelled to hurt her, like, isn't that a sign?" Her tone was curious but a little interested peaked behind it. The comment about children made her hand reach to her stomach from reflex. She thought back to the son she had taken away and thought that never being able to have children wasn't such a bad thing. A small laugh escaped her as she bit her lip and allowed her cheeks to flush. "Not being able to have children might not be so bad, I mean with you being a vampire and all." Quickly she looked off staring at the ceiling.

At the mention of him not killing anyone here she looked back at him and a flood of relief surged through her. "Oh.. Well that's helpful I hear they don't like killing here." She wondered for a moment if she truly was the only normal human here but maybe it was just because she hadn't gotten out much. "It doesn't seem like being with you would be like being with any other guy." The only thing was Kristina had never been with a guy, well other than him. "So are all the old stories about vampires myths?" Something about him interested her and she wanted to get to know him better. A part of her wondered what his dating record was like, since he obviously could get whoever he wanted.

"Elena and I were together for a year before I was compelled to hurt her. My brother was bitten by a werewolf, and it would have killed him. A hybrid vampire could cure him, but in exchange, he made me follow him. He made me drink blood over and over, knowing I would snap, but I saved my brother." Stefan would have made that same choice if he had to do it again. There really wasn't another option.

"Sometimes I want a normal life," he admitted. "I wish I would have had a chance, but I would also have died years ago. I wouldn't be able to travel the world, or see the country change and grow. It's pretty fascinating." He smiled softly, thinking about something else. "This place turned my brother human, and he has a kid. I can't help but be a little jealous of that."

He laughed at the comment about vampires. "It depends on which legends you have heard. We don't sleep in coffins, and we don't turn into bats. I can tell you that right now."

Somehow his story hurt her and she reached out softly to stroke his cheek again gazing into his eyes. "That must have been horrible." There wasn't anything else she could say to ease the pain or erase the memory. Hopefully just being there and listening helped some.

Hearing his dreams and thoughts interested her, there was a connection that wasn't just sex. "Or see me!" Her tone was pure fun as she tried to lighten the mood with her joke. "Just because that happened to him doesn't mean it can't happen to you. I mean if you want it to, and find the right person." Her cheeks flushed bright pink as the heat spread through her body from the words. Quickly she looked away trying to avoid his reaction.

Hearing about vampires still seemed a little odd to her. They weren't supposed to exist and yet here she was in a different world cuddled up naked with one. So far Bree was seeming less and less of a monster, and Kristina was thinking she was more and more becoming crazy. "And you don't sparkle." She added with a matter of fact tone as her eyes explored his exposed flesh.

"It was bad. You wouldn't have wanted to see me then, but my brother lived, and he may be a dick, but he would have saved me somehow if the situation was reversed." He shrugged, accepting what happened. "It was hard, but eventually I went back home."

He laughed softly at her reaction to those wishes that may never happen. "We'll see. This place is as close as I'll ever get to that, so I don't mind being here. Back in Mystic Falls, there won't be a way to be human at all. You would have to come see me."

"I'm quite glad for not sparkling. I can also live on animal blood like they can, but I don't really like it. It makes me feel weak." He had lived on it for years, but that wasn't really what he wanted. When his addiction took over, being denied human blood for so long made the addiction worse.

"I don't care about the things you did. Everyone has a secret, and everyone has done something bad in their life before." Her words were soft knowing exactly what he meant. "I know... I just don't think I could ever see my family again after how many times I hurt them." Okay, she was giving him advice but not following it herslelf. So what?

"I like it here too, sure beats the hell out of jail. You said he was a vampire here with a family though? Or did he turn human, stay human and have a family?" She was slightly confused "Wait, can vampires have children?" It was a silly question but in this place it seemed like a much needed one. "I don't know how I ever got here, I doubt I would be able to find Mystic Falls." Kristina paused for a moment when she realized something. "Wait, that's on Earth isn't it? So Vampires have existed the whole time..." It wasn't a question just a realization.

A shiver ran through her as he talked about blood but she leaned in and kissed him breifly. "Well good thing we have a human blood bank here...I think you would look pretty if you sparkled!" Her joke made a corny laugh escape her and she rolled over pinning him softly to the bed her hair wrapped around her face.

Stefan didn't miss his family. He really didn't have one, other than Damon. His own father was his second kill, but he couldn't say that. He was a monster. There was no getting around it. "So you just start a new life here. That sounds like a good idea."

"Our host turned Damon human for a bit, the same way I was human for about a week. He got Caroline pregnant and they had a baby. He got lucky. They used to hate each other, but she's good for him." He was a little jealous of Damon really. He wanted that kind of family. "Damon wasn't really happy until now, and yes, Mystic Falls is in Virginia, and there have been vampires for much longer than I have been one."

Stefan shook his head, still very glad not to sparkle. "I'll still pass on it." He moved the hair out of her face, leaning up to kiss her.

A small smile crept across her face as he seemed to accept wanting to stay there. "That's what I did, I just wish I could try without Bree." her words were barely a whisper. "Glad I got to meet you here." She was so tired of being depressed all the time, and with him she enjoyed being herself.

"Wow... That must hvae been interesting." Biting her lip Kristina wasn't sure what the feeling she was having for him was. "I am sure there is someone out there to make you happy to." Trying to make him feel better without making him assume anything. Tilting her head she tried to think of her home, and earth. "I'm from Texas... I am sure you weren't the first vampire in the world." Her tone was light and teasing.

Kissing him made her breath catch in her throat, the alcohol wearing off a bit. She could feel Bree starting to push through the haze of her brain. "If you insist on not sparking, I shall never wear glitter." Trying for a serious face she burst out into laughter nuzzling his neck and kissing his jaw line.

Stefan thought it might be an option to get rid of the extra personality, who seemed to show up here and there, but was losing some control. He wasn't going to say anything yet, but he was plotting.

He wasn't sure about someone for him. He had eternity, but with eternity, relationships came and went. This was a part of his life. "I wasn't the first vampire, but I have met some. They are assholes." One of them was here, and they were not friendly at all.

"Glitter would look nice on you." He yawned, feeling tired now. His body had relaxed, and his eyes were starting to close. "Let's just stay right here." His hand fumbled for a blanket lying over the back of the sofa. He wasn't cold, but she probably would be later. Unlike the sparkly group of vampires, the Mystic Falls vampires needed sleep from time to time.

	Feeling him relax behind her made her feel suddenly sleepy. Closing her eyes her body wiggled closer to his under the blanket. "Tbanks.." It didn't take but a few minutes before she fell asleep beside him, dreaming of vampires, glitter, and Bree... (Reply to this) (Parent)
