WHO: Damian Wayne and Erik Lehnsherr
WHAT: Mostly talking
WHEN: Wednesday August 15th; Morning
WHERE: The X-Mansion
STATUS: In Progress

If there was ever a time that Damian wished that he had a time machine, it was now. The last few weeks had been a nightmare; what with the whole mistletoe thing and Steph breaking up with him and the fear toxin. He knew he couldn't do anything about the fear toxin, but he'd been thinking about the whole mistletoe thing with Enigma over and over again, trying to figure out if there would have been a way to avoid what had happened. He should have been paying more attention to his surroundings instead of getting cocky. He shouldn't have gotten too close; after all, he had various gadgets that he could have used to apprehend her without actually getting near her. And the one that he kept going back to was that the never should have even gone out that night. If he'd stayed in the Mansion, then he wouldn't have run in to her at all and there never would have been the potential for something to happen. This was why Damian needed a time machine; to go back and stay in that night. But unless Hank or Dr. Banner or someone built one or he convinced The Doctor to see if he could travel back in time in the TARDIS, Damian's only hope at fixing what had happened was to talk to Steph and hope that she had cooled down enough that they could work things out.

He knew that she had been mad at him for what he'd said to Erik last week, but honestly he'd only been trying to help. He knew what it was like to accidently kill someone when one wasn't themselves and he had thought that if Erik knew there was someone else then it might help. So maybe he hadn't worded it quite right, but Damian had never been great when it came to comforting someone. He could make cocky speeches when confronted with thugs and villains, but when it came to important things he tended to say what he felt even if it wasn't entirely right. He knew that everyone had been on edge the last week and he knew that Steph cared about Erik a lot, but he hoped that she understood what he had been trying to do even if she was mad at him for how he'd said it.

He fully planned on talking to her before the end of the week, not wanting more time to go by, but he had to find the right time. Between her summer classes and patrolling that didn't leave much time and this was not a conversation he wanted to have while beating up thugs unlike when he'd first asked her out whole they'd been fighting zombies. So, as he sat in the kitchen, staring at the back of a box of Raisin Bran, his mind was going over Steph's schedule, trying to find a time when she would be free.
