After exchanging a few messages with people she knew to make sure she wasn't totally insane and that yes, Priestly had been a boy just the night before, and after being reminded by Gabriel in a not-so-subtle way that she was supposed to be an adult now, and after then taking a few minutes to try and calm and compose herself, Claire re-emerged from the bathroom. Her expression was a hesitant one, her footsteps little more than a shuffle at first as she peered around.
Her heart ached at how empty the room looked now. Granted the items in there from before hadn't been masculine and belonging to the Priestly she knew and loved, but there had been more than just her own few meager possessions. To see them in the process of being removed was a hard sight to take and caused a great swell of guilt to rise inside of her.
It wasn't fair. Whoever had done this was cruel and horrible and... it just wasn't fair. Not to her, not to this female version of Priestly, not to anyone. Blinking back tears, Claire perched on the edge of the bed and waited for the other girl to come back into the room in an effort to discuss how they were going to handle the wholly unfair but clearly very real situation.
