Bree thought that she was the only one in Colligo who didn't actually mind losing her powers. She was a new vampire and still did not have her thirst or strength under control but when she suddenly found herself without her thirst for blood and human again, she was actually excited. She didn't know how to be a vampire. She knew how to be a human. Secretly, she hoped the curse, or whatever it was, never wore off.

But, as everything in Colligo, it came to and end and Bree was left with the never ending thirst for blood. She was trying hard to be a vegetarian like the Cullens but it was so hard and she craved the blood from a human, not from an animal. Bree had locked herself up in her room but she was feeling like a caged animal, so she took to the streets of Colligo, the heart beat of every human around her pulsing through her head. By the time Bree made it into town, she knew that this walk had been a mistake. It was safer to be locked in her room. There was nobody there that she could hurt.

Bree needed to feed and more importantly, she needed someone to help her learn how to control her thirst. She knew it was possible. Not every vampire was suffering from the same overwhelming thirst as she was, were they?

Bree pulled her sweater around her as if she were cold and she continued to walk and trying to ignore any human that was close to her. Maybe if she didn't think about her thirst, it would lessen some.

Bree heard the human's heartbeat getting closer long before the human spoke. Still, she was startled as the human touched her shoulder and Bree spun around quickly to face the woman, Bree's big, red eyes, gazing up at her.

Bree tried to get herself to focus and to focus on anything but the human's strong heart beat. Tucking her hair behind her ears, she nodded. "Yes, I'm okay." She was far from okay. She was everything but okay.

Bree's eyes rested on the woman's neck, she could see her blood pumping through the vein in her neck. Bree took a deep breath, trying to battle her instincts. She would not attack the woman. Bree stepped back, wrapping herself up with her sweater again. "I was just on my way back to my room."
