The wedding ceremony was as wonderful as Edward could ever have dreamed it to be. Bella was a beautiful bride. The vows went off without a hitch and they were finally pronounced husband and wife.

After the ceremony, Edward took Bella out for dinner. It wasn't a traditional reception by any means but they still celebrated their marriage. After they finished dinner, they retired to their room and their wait had finally ended.

Edward held Bella as she slept. He traced a finger over her jawline, pulling her closer gently. It had been a wonderful experience, he had shared the best experience with Bella that he could ever have hoped for but it had come at a price.

Edward gazed down at her exposed shoulder, a bruise already forming on her skin. It was just one of many that littered her body and he frowned. He couldn't believe that he had hurt Bella this way. He hadn't meant to. At the time, he hadn't thought that he was hurting her. They both were caught up in the moment, but now, now all he could see is the various bruises all over Bella's body.

Edward pulled the blanket over Bella's shoulder, pulling her closer and just watched his wife sleep.

	Her smile brightened as he called her 'Mrs. Cullen'. She couldn't believe she was actually married, let alone married to him. She stretched nice and slow, before resuming cuddling with Edward. 	Edward smiled as she stretched before settling back into his arms. Gazing into her eyes as she looked up at him, he reached out, rushing a strand of hair from Bella's face. "It was everything I could have hoped it to be. Leaning down, Edward kissed Bella's forehead gently. "It was amazing for me too Bella but I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I hurt you." Bella pushed against Edward's chest slightly. She knew it was futile. She was no match for strength against Edward, but she also knew he would back up. Her faced expressed her complete confusion at his words.

Hurt?

She didn't feel hurt. In fact, she felt wonderful. Her eyes narrowed as she took in the seriousness in his expression.

"You didn't hurt me, Edward. I'm fine." She tried to smile warmly at him, but the worry on his face left the smile lacking in warmth.

	Edward backed up as Bella pushed against him. He could see the confusion in Bella's face as she mulled over his apology. Looking down into her eyes, he frowned, gently reaching out and taking her arm and showing Bella the angry bruise on her arm. "This is not the only one." 	Bella's eyes flickered downward, barely taking in the dark bruise on her arm. Her fingers rise to stroke his cheek lightly. "Edward, I'm fine. We're fine." She tried to sound reassuring, her lips slightly pull into a small smile. "Edward, we knew things would be difficult. But I'm fine.." She couldn't stand the look of guilt and sadness on his face.
