Jasper was worried, both about Edward and Bella as well as what impact this could all have on their family. Jasper knew that Edward was upset with Alice; after all, it hadn't been hard to figure out that Alice was upset after the text she'd received from Edward two nights back, considering he'd felt her emotions almost instantly and right now there were only so many people in Colligo who could possibly upset his wife. He had waited a day before contacting Edward so that his brother wouldn't think he was doing it in order to scold him for what he'd said to Alice and so that it was be more likely that he'd meet with him. Jasper knew that there was a rift, of sorts, in their family at the moment and he was pretty certain that Bella and even Edward saw Nessie as the cause, but Jasper knew that none of them could help the time they were brought from so he didn't think any one person was responsible for this rift and he was sure that Alice would agree with him. However, he was worried that if it wasn't resolved soon, that it would ruin their family and force some of them to take sides and he was not prepared to do that.

So, telling Alice that he had some papers to sign for the contractors, Jasper headed over to the soon to be dance studio to meet with Edward. Arriving at the studio, he surveyed the progress that had been made recently before heading back to the room that was to be the office when it was finished. They had decided that he was going to take care of the majority of the business aspect of the studio while Alice got to do one of the things she enjoyed doing, which was dance. He was very proud of her for deciding to do something like this and was glad that they were able to do it together. After checking a few things in the office, Jasper headed back out into what would be the main room of the studio and waited for Edward to arrive.

Jasper looked up when he heard the door open, glad to see that Edward had actually come; he'd admit that part of him had thought that he might not show up, "Hello, Edward. Thank you for coming." He moved to the door once Edward was inside and locked it, not that he thought anyone else would just walk in, but he wanted privacy, which was why he'd asked Edward to meet him there, "I'm sorry about Bella." There was no need to ask Edward how he was, because Jasper had already picked up on his brother's emotions even after trying to shut it out. There were times when Jasper didn't like his ability and when those he cared for were as upset as the majority of his family seemed to be at the moment, those were the times he despised it. He rarely used it to alter another's emotions anymore except when absolutely necessary, but since arriving in Colligo he would be lying if he said he hadn't been tempted to on occasion.

"It probably wouldn't surprise you to know that I know about the texts with Alice from the other night." If anyone knew that Alice and Jasper shared everything it would be Edward.

Edward appreciated that Jasper locked the door to give them privacy. Edward looked around the dance studio. The last time he had been in one was when he had almost lost Bella at the hands of the tracker, James.

Edward flinched slightly at Jasper's mention of Bella. Without having to listen to Jasper's thoughts, he knew his brother already knew what he was feeling.

Edward looked at Jasper. "I assumed she would have told you about them." Edward did feel bad about what he had said to Alice but he was still angry even though he knew he was wrong to have lashed out and blame his break up with Bella on her.

"Things have just gotten very complicated. Bella and I were to be married and then we find ourselves here. We find out we have a daughter and that Bella was turned and now we do not even have a future as Bella does not wish to be with me." Edward felt hopeless.

Jasper knew how much Edward loved Bella and he felt awful for him that this all had happened, but at the same time he didn't think he was right to lash out at Alice who had always been nothing but supportive of their relationship, "You know none of this was Alice's fault." He didn't know what Alice saw as far as Bella or Edward's futures went anymore, because she hadn't said and he hadn't asked, but he wanted to think that if they really did love each other enough, that this would not be the end. "And before you think it, I'm not saying it's yours either. This is a situation like we've never seen before and everyone said things they probably shouldn't have."

Jasper gestured towards two folding chairs near a wall which would eventually be lined with mirrors, "That said, would you like to sit down?" He wasn't sure how long they'd be there, but he thought things would go a little better if they were seated and comfortable as opposed to standing.

Edward nodded. "I know none of this was Alice's fault and I owe her an apology. It's not her fault that we were brought here. It's not her fault that Bella and I knew nothing of Renesmee. I was, am, just upset that it seemed that Alice didn't even take the time to even think of how Bella felt. I know Alice loves Bella though."

Edward went over to the chairs near the wall and sat down, putting his head in his hands. He felt hopeless and conflicted. His whole future was Bella and he didn't have her anymore. He wanted to talk to Bella and yet, he wasn't even sure she would be willing to talk to him.

"This place has caused nothing but problems."

Jasper followed Edward and took a seat in the other chair, "I doubt Alice disregarded how Bella felt, but she was also concerned for Nessie's feelings. I suppose part of it has to do with the two of us having had over a month to get used to the fact that she was older than she was at home and then you, Bella and Jacob all showing up at the same time and from different times, everyone's feelings got the better of them. Trust me, I know." That first night when everything had happened between Nessie and Bella, it had been difficult to shut out all the emotions that were coming from everyone.

"I'm sure that, given some time, Bella will come around. Everyone can see how much she loves you." Jasper wished there was something that could be done to solve everyone's problem. "But you also have to take into consideration what she wants. I know you don't necessarily want to turn her, but you did promise her."

"I know Alice wouldn't have disregarded how Bella felt. You are right. The situation got out of control." Edward glanced at his brother with sympathy. Of all of his siblings, he could sympathize with Jasper's gift and how you could never shut it off. It was just like Edward's telepathy. Even though he tried not to listen, the thoughts were always around him.

"I can only hope that she will come around. I do not know what I would do without her." Edward leaned back in the chair as he considered Jasper's words. "I did promise her. I am willing to stand behind my end of our compromise even though I still wish she would change her mind. I suppose I should try to talk to her again."

Jasper listened to Edward, taking in what his brother was saying. It was a much different situation then Jasper had ever been in considering both he and Alice were already vampires when they'd met, so neither of them had, had to make the decision to turn the other one and Jasper couldn't imagine his life without Alice now. When Edward finished, Jasper cocked his head slightly, planning his next question out, "What is the main reason you don't want to turn Bella? Wouldn't you rather have her with you for eternity?"

Edward frowned as Jasper asked his question. There were many reasons why Edward didn't want to turn Bella but there were also many reasons why he wanted to.

"I don't want to turn Bella because I do not think that it is fair to turn her into one of us. None of us asked for immortality. Bella has a chance to have a normal, human life. But at the same time, there is a part of me that is selfish and wants to turn her so that I can have her for eternity."

Edward sighed, unnecessarily.

"Whatever my feelings, I have given her my word. I will turn her if it is what she wishes."
