Lisbeth Attempts to be Social.
WHO: Lisbeth Salander and Dean Winchester (End!Verse)
WHAT: Lisbeth meets with Dean regarding a job.
WHEN: Backdated to just after this.
WHERE: The Second Chance Crisis Centre
RATING: Low
STATUS: In Progress.

This was different for Lisbeth. Normally, she did not volunteer her services. She was well known within the hacking community in Sweden and she had established quite the reputation for herself. Usually clients who needed her help sought her out. She actively worked with computers and she had put her skills to the test from time to time by doing some investigative work. It was not like her to contact someone about a possible job. Maybe this place had something to do with it but it was probably more along the lines of Lisbeth's own investigation when she easily broke into the Second Chance Crisis Centre's network and perused their files, all from the comfort of her room. She found nothing suspicious about the centre or its employees and she found that she liked the work that they were doing. As a survivor of sexual assault, she could see the utility behind such an establishment.

Lisbeth walked the short distance to the Crisis Centre, pushing through the doors. She had made no effort to change her appearance. Her sleeveless shirt showed off some of her dragon tattoo that was on her shoulders and back and she did not remove her nose or lip piercing. What you see is what you got with Lisbeth.

"I'm here to see Dean. He is expecting me." Lisbeth told the worker behind the desk. She did not bother to even introduce herself.

The young woman working the front desk contacted Dean via the intercom, to let him know he had a guest. A moment later, Dean emerged from the office, looking a little bit disheveled. He smiled at the girl behind the deck, then turned his focus to Lisbeth. "I'm Dean," he told her and motioned toward his office, indicating she should follow.

He wasn't put off by her appearance. Sure, it was unusual, and most people going to speak with someone about a job would probably try to tone it down, but Dean could appreciate her honesty. He had a feeling she didn't tone it down very often, but remained true to herself in any situation.

Maybe he'd even ask about the ink on her arms, if things went well, and he had no reason to think things wouldn't go smoothly. "Coffee? There's bottled water in the fridge too," Dean moved past the door and into his office.

Lisbeth surveyed the man that emerged from the office and she couldn't help but notice that he looked a little dishevelled. He also didn't give her the all too familiar look over like most people do. He didn't seem put off by her appearance. Definitely not what she expected.

She nodded as he introduced himself. "Lisbeth Salander." She offered back before following him into his office.

Once in his office, she looked around, trying to get a sense of the man. She walked over to the coffee pot at his offer, helping herself to a cup. She sat down on a chair, pulling on leg up, bending it at the knee and resting it on the chair, looking very disinterested. Social skills were one thing she lacked.

"Your system needs work." She said, her speech heavily accented by her Swedish accent. "I gained control of your computer with little to no effort. I can fix that for you. I can make your network safe from any attack from an outside source." She got right to the point. She wasn't here to waste her time or Dean's.

"I'll be honest with you, Lisbeth." Dean used her first name, partially to test the waters of her reaction to the familiarity. He'd never met her before, but if she was going to work for him, and be in at least partial control of his security, he figured they needed to be on a first name basis.

"I don't know the first thing about computers. Cas always took care of that stuff." He knew how to use a computer, how to turn it on and access a program. He knew how to play a few games, but security was beyond him. Even when he'd worked at the casino, he'd done little more than monitor the cameras and use a variety of intimidation methods to convince would-be card counters and other criminals to take their business elsewhere.

"Which means the job's yours, if you want it."

Lisbeth glanced at Dean as he spoke. She didn't mind that he called her by her first name. She preferred familiarity. If he insisted she called him "Mr. Winchester", well then, he had another thing coming.

"I don't expect that everyone should have superior computer skills but you should learn the basics of the machine. Computers are useful and it is getting to the point where everything is done using a computer of some sort." Lisbeth said, watching him as she took a sip of her coffee.

"I will take the job. However, I expect you to take some time to learn about the computer. I can show you."

"My brother's the computer guy in the family." Dean knew how to turn a machine on, he knew how to get to the internet. He knew how to check email and find free porn. What else did he really need to know?

"But sure. You want to try and teach an old dog new tricks, go for it." He smiled a little. He wasn't going to expect her to call him Mr Winchester. No one else did. Especially around the crisis center. He definitely wanted to keep a casual attitude among the employees.

Lisbeth smirked. "You are hardly what I would classify as old. This is your business, yes? You should be able to work the security. What if I am not around for one reason or another?"

"How long have you been here? In Colligo?"

"It's my business because Cas is gone. He was the one running the place." Dean sighed. He didnt' like to think about Cas, now that he was gone. "But yeah, it's mine now. And I'm hiring you because I don't know shit about computers." He rolled his shoulders, and sighed again.

"I've been here about a year and a half, maybe closer to two years. I don't even know. Seems like a long time." And he wasn't going to take the hot coffee, or running water for granted. He'd lived too long without basic things like that, and he knew what he was going to go back to, when it was his turn to leave.
