As much as Remus enjoyed spending time with Sirius, there were times when he needed to spend an evening away from the animagus and considering he still didn't know very many people in Colligo, the two people who had first come to mind were Lily and Severus. Considering how Sirius and James both felt about Severus, it wasn't very easy to get together with him and Lily at the same time, but Lily was never one to do as she was told, so it wasn't a surprise that she would agree to spend an evening with him and Severus; after all, Lily and Severus had been friends long before Remus had known either of them. So, once they had both agreed to getting together, it had only been a matter of getting someone to watch Luke, which was where James was this evening.

Bottle of wine in hand, as a belated birthday gift to Severus, Remus apparated to the hallway outside Severus' flat. Remus felt that he owed Severus more than simply a bottle of wine, considering the other wizard didn't have to make him Wolfsbane potions, but he was and without so much as asking for payment, but he knew that there wasn't very much that Severus would accept in return. Remus' fist was just about to connect with the door when there was another tell tale pop of apparation behind him.

Lily grinned as Severus opened the door, brushing the hair away from her face as she waited to go in. Things had been different certainly since they experienced that change when they lived a life which could have happened but it was for the better. Occasionally she felt awkward but most of the time she was more than happy in his presence.

"Happy belated birthday," she said softly as she placed a kiss to his cheek and handed him the gift bag.

Remus smiled as Severus opened the door and held up the bottle of wine, "Happy Belated Birthday," He chimed in after Lily as he followed her into the flat, "Tea sounds lovely. Thank you." Remus and Severus had never been as close as Lily and Severus had been, but unlike his friends, Remus had never actually participated in the taunting that had taken place. He never really tried to stop it either, but in the end him and Severus had always been civil and he was glad for that despite the fact that in a way Remus still felt bad for what had happened at the Shrieking Shack even though it had been completely Sirius' doing.

Severus blinked a little at the gifts, but accepted them graciously, giving Lily a brief hug, and shaking Remus' hand. He led them inside, placing the gifts on the coffee table, and then moving to the kitchen to bring out the tea, a corkscrew, and a tray of scones.

"Thank you again for the gifts," he said, placing the tray on the table with the other things. "Please, make yourselves comfortable."

She sat down once Severus told them to, smiling up at her friend. If there was one thing she had to be glad about through some of the stupid things this place had done in the past it was her renewed friendship with Severus. What he had once said to her in the past no longer mattered and she was willing to make the most of now

"So are we staying here or do you two have other ideas in mind?" she asked as she watched Severus put the tray down.

	Remus took a seat as Severus came back out from the kitchen, "I'm fine with whatever the two of you decide. I simply thought it would be a good idea to get together. Whether we stay here or go elsewhere, it doesn't matter to me." He was quite glad that this meeting hadn't proven to be awkward and was sure it would be a good night. 	Pouring the tea, Severus served each of his guest, then himself. "Honestly, I thought Remus had this all planned out, so I was following his lead this time." He chuckled softly. 	"Nope. Sounds like we were both relying on Remus," she replied as she took her tea, giving Remus a grin. "Such a let down Lupin. But as you both said staying in works. I'm sure we'd have just as much fun inside as we would out. She loved the two of them and did enjoy spending time with them no matter where they were. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Remus laughed as he mixed his tea, "Of course, put it all on me then." He took a sip of his tea before setting it down and sitting back, "But, if you're both waiting on me to make a decision, then I suggest we order take away and drink that bottle of wine." Remus didn't drink often, but even he needed to unwind every now and then and as much as he enjoyed spending time with Sirius, the other Wizard was often the reason he needed to unwind and that was the entire point of this evening with Lily and Severus, was it not?

	"Sounds fine to me too." Severus' question caught her by surprise and she shrugged, focusing on drinking her tea for a moment first. "They are fine, James is being his usual self and Luke's teeth are bothering him." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

It was still somewhat strange to hear Lily, or anyone else for that matter, call the baby Luke when back home he'd known him as Harry, but he was slowly getting used to it even if he did slip up on occasion and call him Harry.

Seeing as how this was a time for catching up, Remus decided that now was as good a time as any to fill his friends in on what was going on between him and Sirius. He didn't know how much Severus knew about Sirius and the him that was there previously, but he was fairly certain that he knew how Lily would react, "Everything is fine for me. I've been working at the book store in town and Sirius and I are taking things slow despite the fact that Sirius has never been the most patient person in the world." He took a sip of his tea as he finished, waiting to see if his friends would figure out exactly what he was saying or if he was being too subtle.
