The last week and a half had been a learning experience, and the one thing that Lyle had learnt was that he wasn't anywhere near ready to deal with getting someone pregnant. He'd been doing his best to help Bonnie was much as he could, but he had to admit, he was pretty damn flaily most of the time. To be fair, though, only part of the flaily was him not knowing how to help with the rather severe effects of pregnancy. It was also equal parts him not being very familiar with Bonnie and him not knowing exactly what would be taken the wrong way if he did try. All the same, he'd done his best with what he could and had made the maximum effort not to put his foot in his mouth, and he thought he'd actually managed it pretty well.

Right now, though, Lyle was probably more relaxed than he'd been during any time spent alone with Bonnie because of the sheer fact that they weren't alone. Having invited Jeremy and his awkward cohabitation partner over so that they could all spend at least one evening in company that wasn't enforced by Asaph's decree.

Returning from the kitchen, a bowl of popcorn in one hand and a phone in the other, Lyle flashed everyone assembled a bright smile as he flopped down on the couch, plopping the popcorn bowl on the coffee table within arm's length of all of them. "Pizza's on its way. All we have to do know is make awkward conversation for the thirty minutes that it takes to get here," He said with a playful wink. "Who wants to throw out a first topic for conversation?"

It wasn't a secret that Jeremy had been rather annoyed when this whole thing started, what with Bonnie and Lyle kissing and all, but when he was finally able to think about it logically, if Bonnie was going to be stuck with someone it was better that it was Lyle instead of some stranger. Jeremy could trust Bonnie with Lyle plus they all lived on the same floor so Jeremy was able to check up on Bonnie each morning on his way to the X-Mansion where he was now attending classes. Jeremy might have still been a little freaked out over the fact that him and Bonnie were going to be parents, but that didn't stop him from needing to make sure that Bonnie was okay; especially when she was still experiencing morning sickness and it should have been him there instead of Lyle. Jeremy owed it to Lyle, most other guys would have been complaining to anyone that would listen to them about having to take care of their friend's pregnant girlfriend, but Lyle hadn't.

Jeremy had been glad when Lyle had decided to invite him and Claudia over and the popcorn had barely been on the table when he'd reached for a handful, "What kinds did you get? Better not have been anything weird." He smirked as he glanced over at Bonnie then Claudia before shoving the popcorn in his mouth.

Bonnie was thankful that Lyle had been really understanding with her being pregnant. She was also thankful that if she had to be stuck with someone against her will, at least it was with someone she knew. She tried to keep the hormones to a minimum...but sometimes she couldn't help but get a little teary-eyed over certain things.

"Nothing weird," she said to Jeremy with a smile. "I promise, no weird cravings or anything."
