What: Remus is rather confused by the things a drunken Sirius told him

Ever since Sunday night, Remus had been extremely confused about what had happened between him and Sirius and while he wanted to chalk it up to Sirius being drunk and a drama queen, it didn't change the fact that Sirius had kissed him and told him that they'd been together before. Were it not for the feelings Remus had had towards Sirius for some time now he'd try to put it past him, especially since Sirius didn't seem to remember their encounter in the kitchen, but he couldn't just put it past him. He needed answers and if anyone would know the truth it would be Lily.

Finding her in the living room, Remus took a seat on the couch beside her. "Afternoon, Lily."

"Well, when I asked him if he was alright he went off on one of his drunken rants and this one was directed at me. Of course he wasn't making any sense; mostly saying how I didn't remember and he couldn't tell me things because it would freak me out." Remus wasn't really sure what he was going to do if Lily confirmed what Sirius had said, but at least he'd know why Sirius had been acting so distant, "Assuming he was simply being melodramatic, I asked him to tell me and well, instead of telling me he....he kissed me." Of course there was always the chance that Lily hadn't a clue what was going on and this had been a mistake, but there was no going back now.

Lily stayed quiet through out since she was well aware that what Remus needed first was for her to listen. She would give her thoughts when he seemed to want them. She did understand Sirius' reluctance to tell Remus what had happened in Colligo before he left since who knew what feelings the man before her had at the moment and Sirius would likely not want to get hurt. But he had kissed him? They do say actions speak louder than words, perhaps this action did just that.

"He kissed you? And...you want to know why?"

"He did." Remus said, relieved that Lily didn't seem disgusted by what he'd just told her. He had always been very reluctant to tell anyone about his feelings towards the same sex, not only because it wasn't exactly acceptable in their time, but because he was already a werewolf and didn't need to be shunned because of his sexuality as well, "Well, he told me that he and the previous me had been together, but I was unsure if he was trying to mess with me because he was drunk or if he was telling the truth."

She nodded at his explanation and didn't seem bothered by it at all. Well part of her wondered if she should really say but Sirius had started it and Remus just wanted the truth. That was definitely understandable given the situation and the way it had come about. Reaching out, she took one of his hands before giving him a gentle smile as she looked at him.

"He's telling the truth. But how do you feel about that? Are you...scared or angry or upset? Or, you know, glad?"

So Sirius hadn't just been messing with and that was why he'd been acting so oddly around him; at least it all made sense now. Only problem was that Remus wasn't entirely sure what to do with this information. He couldn't exactly go up to Sirius and tell him that he wanted things to be like they had been with the other version of him, because not only was that not like Remus at all, but he had no idea exactly how things had been. Besides there were other questions he needed answers to as well as a question that had been asked of him.

"I'm not entirely sure." He finally said in response to Lily's question, "I suppose I'm still a little confused. Sirius has never shown any same sex tendencies before. What happened?" Perhaps it was a question he should be asking Sirius himself, but he needed answers before he could talk to Sirius.

He was right Sirius had never shown any sort of hint that he liked men in that way until she arrived here as a teenager and discovered they were a couple. It took her a while to get use to it but when she did, and when she suddenly became older, she found herself thinking it rather obvious that they loved each other. Even if Sirius was too much of a 'man' to admit to love to anyone else and she had tried a lot to get him to admit to it. She would manage one day.

"I...don't really know. When I came here they were already in a relationship. All I know is after I got over the initial shock I could tell it was genuine. He was a mess after you left last time, I was lucky I managed to convince him to move in otherwise Merlin knows what would have happened."

	Suddenly Remus was reminded of the night he'd arrived, "That's why he seemed so hurt when I pulled away when he first took my arm, isn't it?"He Remus sighed and ran a hand through his hair, "He must assume I'll be different." 	"Yes, that's why he was hurt," she said softly. And she didn't blame him for being hurt at all since she knew she would have felt the same if it had happened with James. She may be pissed with James right now but that didn't mean she would be fine with him having no acknowledgement of the love they had. "Don't feel pushed into something, though." Remus knew that there really was no point in pretending around Lily, especially now. After all, it wasn't as if Lily was going to judge him, so there shouldn't be any reason to be nervous about telling her, "I'll be honest, I've had feelings for Sirius for quite some time, but I accepted the fact that nothing would ever come of it." However now Remus wasn't so sure about that.

She couldn't help the slightly pleased grin on her face when he admitted to feelings even if he wasn't sure about speaking them to Sirius. Reaching out, she cupped his cheek in an attempt to make him face her. "Talk to him. Tell him where you stand and how you feel. He'll listen and understand your worries or thoughts. He loves you, even if he's too much of a prat to make it known. You know how he is with emotions."

	Remus knew that what Lily was saying was true, but there was still one little problem, "He doesn't remember talking to me the other night, let alone kissing me." It would be much easier if he remembered, but it was clear from their exchange on the Network the day after that Sirius had no idea what he'd done that night when he'd come back from wherever he'd been. "He doesn't?" Okay that complicated things. However even if he didn't remember it surely he could still listen to anything Remus said about the situation? "Just try anyway. Try and find a moment where you can sit with him and tell him what happened, then speak your own thoughts on the feelings between you both. You are lovely together, you should give it all another chance to grow."
