Who: Jeremy Gilbert and Bonnie Bennett
Where: Their building, the elevator between floors four and three
When: Friday, December 2nd. Evening
What: Heading down from visiting Elena, the elevator malfunctions. Will Jeremy and Bonnie survive?
Ratings: At least R to begin with
Status: In Progress

After getting home from school that afternoon, Jeremy had waited until Bonnie got back from her own classes at the University and then the two of them had gone upstairs to hang out with Elena for a couple of hours. They'd ordered food and watched movies and talked about various things that were going on such as Caroline thinking she was pregnant; a message they'd all received that morning. Jeremy still felt close to Caroline in a way he never had before he'd become an alternate version of himself who had succeeded in becoming a vampire after his suicide attempt earlier that year. He really wasn't sure which part was more strange, remembering things that hadn't happened; such as Stefan training them both or the fact that he now thought of Caroline as more than just an acquaintance or his sister's friend, so he had mixed feelings when it came to the fact that she thought she was pregnant.

After watching a few movies and eating most of Elena's snacks, they decided to call it a night and Jeremy and Bonnie headed out into the hall and towards the elevator.

Bonnie smiled as her and Jeremy head towards the elevator. She had had a fun time with Elena and Jeremy, and now she got spend sometime with Jeremy, with just the two of them. It was going to be the perfect ending to the perfect evening.

Bonnie pressed the button for their floor, leaning on Jeremy's shoulder a little while they waited for the elevator. When the lift arrived, she stepped inside, waiting for Jeremy before pressing the door shut button.

They rode in silence for a few minutes, before there was the sensation of shaking...and the lights in the elevator went out.

"What just happened?" Bonnie asked, panic in her voice. She went to press the call button on the elevator. "Hello? Can anyone hear us? Hello?!"

Nothing. Bonnie turned to Jeremy, leaning on him for comfort. "I think we're stuck. What...what if no one finds, Jere?"

Jeremy had, had his arm around Bonnie's waist and leaning against the wall when the elevator shook suddenly and came to a sudden stop. In the entire time he'd lived in the building so far he hadn't heard of any problems with the elevator, but then again it wasn't like it was a magic elevator that never broke down or anything. However, the fact that they were currently stuck in said broken elevator somewhere between the fourth and second floor, made Jeremy nervous. What made him even more nervous was how scared Bonnie sounded. Bonnie was usually so strong that hearing the panic in her voice scared him.

"Bonnie, come here." He reached out for her, his eyes having adjusted enough for him to see her, "We'll be ok. We can text Elena or Lyle or anyone else and let them know what happened." He pulled out his PDA, ready to tell someone that they were stuck, but to his dismay he had no service, "Shit." He'd said it before he thought about it and knew that Bonnie would have heard him and the last thing he wanted to do was scare her more, but she was bound to know that something else was wrong.

Normally, Bonnie didn't get scared. She'd come face to face with death several times and spat in it's face. But something about this...really scared her more than anything. She didn't know what it was, but it did. Maybe it was because they were stuck in a small space, with no real way to get out.

She moved closer to him. "I'm not getting any service on my PDA, either." A long pause. "Jere...you don't think we're going to be stuck in here forever, do you?"

"I don't understand why there's no service. I use this thing in the elevator all the time." Jeremy said, doing all the things that one did to try and get service, which never actually worked. Finally, he put the PDA back into his pocket and wrapped both arms around Bonnie, holding her close, "We won't be stuck in here forever, Bonnie. Someone will realize something is wrong eventually. Someone else is bound to need the elevator soon." Even as he said it though, Jeremy was trying his hardest to keep the worry out of his voice.
