Who: Jeremy Gilbert and Elena Gilbert
When: Just after midnight on September 24th
Where: Elena's apartment
What: Waking up with amnesia sucks
Status: In Progress

After work Jeremy had brought a few dvds over to Elena's for yet another movie night, which was becoming some what of a tradition over the last few weeks, which was fine with Jeremy cause he'd been missing Elena recently. They'd eaten popcorn, watched one of the movies and talked about Jenna and Ric eloping and had been on the second movie when the time had struck midnight and suddenly they had both fallen asleep, the half empty bowl of popcorn, which had been on Jeremy's lap at the time spilled onto the floor in the process.

"Oh man..." He groaned a few minutes later as he brought a hand up to his head, although a few minutes could have been hours right now, because Jeremy didn't actually recall falling asleep. Of course he also didn't recall what he'd been doing before falling asleep, but it appeared that he'd been watching a movie, not that he knew which one. And then there was the fact that he didn't appear to be alone. Turning his head slowly, he noticed the girl sleeping next to him on the other end of the couch. Not sure if he should wake her or not, Jeremy took a moment to take in his surroundings.

"I don't know." Elena said, only then realizing how strange that sounded. How could they both not know who they were? It was ridiculous. She was trying so hard to remember something, but nothing came to her. She wasn't sure what to even do at the moment. Who was this person to her, if anything. "I don't...remember a thing."

Jeremy ran a hand through his hair as he glanced around the room, trying to remember anything about how he'd gotten there or who he was or even who the girl next to him, but nothing was coming to him. It was just a blank. "You don't remember anything at all?" The one thing Jeremy did know was that they had to know each other somehow, because strangers didn't usually hang out and watch movies together. Getting up, he spotted a back pack near the tv and went to kneel in front of it as he opened it and searched for any type of clues as to what was going on. Unfortunatly all he found were some school books and a notebook; the pocket where his nametag from the video store usually was, was empty, "Well atleast one of us goes to school." He said, standing up and turning back to Elena.

"Nothing." Elena told him, trying to figure out what had happened. They obviously knew one another, but how. There didn't seem to be any indication. And how could they just not even know anything? Amnesia was one thing, but both of them having it? What were the chances on something like that? She was willing to bet not very high. One of them was in school, that was something. It wasn't much to go on, but it was a start. The important thing was not to panic, right? Wasn't that what people always said? How could she know that but not who she was? It was insanity. "Is there a name on it?"

Jeremy turned back to the backpack and pulled out one of the books, flipping to the front cover and shook his head, "Nope and I doubt there's anything in the others." Dropping the book next to the pack, he crossing his arms over his chest as he looked at Elena again, "Maybe we should check the rest of the apartment. The bedrooms at least might tell us something."

Uncrossing his arms, he glanced at the large, gawdy ring he was wearing then held it up so Elena could see, "If there's one thing I want to know besides our names, it's why I'd wear something like this."

She ran a hand through her hair. This was annoying, how could they have no idea who they were? It felt like something out of a bad soap or some crazy tv show. Elena looked through her pockets, there was nothing there that gave any indication of who she was. She nodded in agreement. His plan sounded good to her.

"I'll check that one." She pointed. Did she live here? Did he? Did they live here together? It was really hard to know anything. "Yeah that is kind of ridiculous." She said, making a face at the ring he was wearing. "Maybe you lost a bet."
