What: Max wants to know all the other mythical things Ed has seen

The things that Max had seen in The Sanctuary had fascinated her more than she'd ever thought was possible considering she was a fourteen year old girl with wings who had grown up with a group of other bird kids and inadvertantly became the owner of a talking dog, but the things in the Sanctuary were incredibly intrigueing and terrifying all at the same time. So when Edmund had begun talking about also having seen Mermaids and other things, Max had become extremely intriuged and wanted to know more and that was why she was soaring through the air, looking out for the Stables where Ed had told her to meet him. Before she'd left, she had left a note for Dr. Magnus and Ashley to let them know where she was going, which was something new to her since she was used to being the one in charge, but Dr. Magnus was being incredibly kind to allow her to stay at The Sanctuary so she figured it was only fair that she knew when Max was going out.

Spotting what she assumed was the stables, Max descended, landing a little ways away so that no one there would see exactly how she'd arrived and after pulling her wings in and untying the hoodie from around her waist and slipping it on, she walked up towards the Stables.

Ed pottered around the stables after Pete had taken two of the horses out for whatever reason, tidying up before he decided to have his lunch. He spent it sitting with Phillip II, a sorrel that reminded him so much of the original Phillip from Narnia that he'd unofficially renamed the horse, telling him about his namesake while he ate. He gave Phillip II his apple once he'd finished the rest of his lunch, and then set about grooming the horse, getting so caught up in it that he lost track of the time.

He was concentrating on the grooming so much that he didn't even realise someone had made their way into the stables until he heard footsteps behind him. "I won't be a minute," he told Phillip II, before going to see who it was. The fact that he had hay stuck in his hair and a smudge of dirt across one cheek didn't really register with him.

"Can I help you with anyth-" he said, breaking off when he realised who his visitor was. "Hello! How are you?"

After being chased and pursued by mad scientists and half men/half wolf guys for so long, Max couldn't help but keep her guard up as she walked along the path that led to the entrance of the stables, unsure of exactly what might lurk in the wooded area around the building. After all, this was supposedly an alien planet and there were all kinds of different creatures around as she'd found out at The Sanctuary.

She wasn't really sure exactly where she was supposed to meet Edmund, but she assumed if anything it was probably the main part of the stables as opposed to the office, so she walked around until she found the large doors that were propped open and went inside, glancing at the horses that occupied the stalls as she walked past each. She was so wrapped up in the horses that she hadn't even realized that she'd let her guard down until she heard a voice and jumped slightly as she turned in the direction it had come from. For a split second she almost took on a defensive stance until she realized who had spoken to her, "Edmund. Hi." Despite the fact that the other boy had scared the crap out of her, she ran a hand through her hair, hoping she didn't seem too phased by it.
