Welcome to the Hellmouth...I mean Colligo
Who: Buffy Summers and Spike
What: Buffy's a bit lost in the city, enter Spike the Tour Guide
When: Eveningish
Where: In front of the library and beyond.
Rating/Warnings: TBD
Status: In progress

It had been a couple hours since Buffy had been tossed out of the library. She had spent those hours sitting on the steps in front of it figuring out the PDA she had been given and then discovering the network. The things she had learned on there where shocking to say the least. She wasn't the only one kidnapped nor the only one who had been taken from her world. Tara was alive. So was Spike. It was all a bit much to take in to say the least and she was still processing. Apart of her still wasn't sure this was all real and even if it was who was to say that these people really were who they said they were. After all anyone could pretend to be someone else on these things right? Like the whole Malcolm thing with Willow back in high school. Her eyes drifted to the shadows along side the library hoping that this wasn't all a trick and that Spike would appear there.

As she waited for her tour guide that would hopefully lead her to a shower and a change of clothing, Buffy messed around with the little PDA some more. Could the buttons be any smaller? That's when she discovered that not only had she been kidnapped, left in her battle stained clothes, and tossed into the middle of the street, but she had also been given a hundred dollars. A hundred dollars! How was she supposed to buy replacement clothing with that!? "Go straight to hell. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. They got to be kidding me. I am so not working at a Double Meat Place again just so I can buy new shoes." It was bad enough that her wardrobe and everything else back home had gotten sucked into a crater. Slaying did not come with a great benefits package. Now she didn't even have the money in her bank account.

Spike probably should have been a little more surprised then he actually was when he saw Buffy's post show up on the Network, but he was pretty familiar with the way people came and went here now so it wasn't exactly a shock. And the fact that she was from directly after the battle in Sunnydale made things a little easier because he didn't have to explain why he hadn't wanted her to know he was alive after appearing in Los Angeles, if he didn't want to. Of course he would eventually, because Spike didn't want to keep anything from Buffy; that had always ended badly in the past anyway.

When he found out that she was assigned to the same building he was currently living, he hadn't even thought twice before offering to find her and bring her to the builing to make things easier for her. No doubt, she was stressed and tired after the long battle they'd all been involved in, only a few hours ago for her.

Donning his usual leather jacket, Spike left the building and headed towards the library, where Buffy was waiting for him. It was times like this that he wished he had the super speed some of the other vampires in town possessed. Sure, he was faster then humans, but his speed wasn't even close to that of the other vampires. Finally reaching the library, Spike stopped a few feet away when he saw Buffy outside and despite it having been a few months now since he'd last seen her, he still felt the overwhelming emotions that were connected with any thoughts of the blond Slayer. "Someone call for a tour guide?" He asked as he finally closed the distance between himself and the library steps where Buffy was.

What was only a few seconds seemed like forever as Buffy looked at Spike. He really was alive. To her only hours ago he had been flaking and going up in flames as light was coursing through his body. He had given his life to stop the First and yet here he was alive. Really though should she be all that surprised? He wouldn't be the first one to die to save the day and yet come back alive. She herself was one such example.

"You are alive," Buffy exclaimed as she got up, the PDA and scythe forgotten on the steps of the library as she rushed to him. Arms going up around the vampire's neck, the slayer kissed him fiercely needing to feel that he was alive. It wasn't until she was pulling away and resting her forehead against his that she realized that night hadn't settled just yet.

"You're not going up in flames. How are you not going up in flames?" One hand slid down to rest over Spike's heart. No thump thump. He was still undead. So how was he standing here without burning?

Spike hadn't expected that sort of welcome, but he was certainly not going to complain and his arms wrapped around Buffy's waist as he kissed her back just as fiercely. It felt like forever ago that they had last done this and he was almost afraid that if he didn't take the chance now he'd never get it again.

Spike had been walking around with the daylight ring that Willow had made for him for a couple months now and he hadn't even taken into consideration that the sun hadn't set completely when he'd set out to meet Buffy, otherwise he would have waited until the sun had set so as not to freak out Buffy even more, "Oh right, that." Removing one arm from around her waist, Spike brought it up to show off the rather gaudy blue stoned ring, "You're not the only one who gets mystical baubles, you know."
