WHAT: A random run-in yields tragic results.
WHEN: Mid-morning.
WHERE: The park
RATING: PGish (mildly disturbing imagery and a few naughty words)
STATUS: COMPLETE
Glory was not having a good day. She still couldn't find her Key, the brains she'd been eating just weren't sustaining her like they had in the other reality she'd been trapped in before this one, and she had even broken the heel on her favorite pair of stilettos thanks to one of her stupid, scabby minions causing her to lose her temper before she'd even had her first brain for the day. In short, the Hell God was in quite a mood as she made her way to a section of the city she'd yet to visit in the hopes of finding a decent meal for a change and maybe, just maybe, a clue to where her Key was hiding.
The park wasn't overly busy this time of day as it was past time for most people to be at work yet before lunchtime. However there were enough that Glory could take her pick of potential meals as she meandered down one of the pathways. So she didn't just grab the first person she spotted but instead bid her time for a little while in the search of someone who might prove more filling than her earlier meals had been. Then, just before she reached a fork in the path where she would have to decide between venturing back into the woods or out of the park, she finally spotted someone with potential.
A non-local - she could just tell by looking at him that he definitely wasn't a Colligo native - stood a much better chance of knowing something about her Key, which meant no matter what this guy was going to talk to her. However with any luck he would turn out to be a real person and not one of the pre-programmed pod people that made up the majority of the city. If he were real, in that sense at least, the meal would last as long as it was supposed to. Which meant dear old Ben would stay trapped for that much longer and give her even more of an opportunity to locate her Key and blow out the walls of reality for an one-way ticket back home.
Her target in sight, there was a confidence in her step as she made her way directly toward him. She had a slight smile on her face, eyes shining with the faintest touches of insanity. "Hey you," she said as she drew closer. When another man turned toward her and began to smile, she rolled her eyes. "Not you," she groused, shoving him out of her way. As he sailed through the air a good twenty feet or so, Glory reached the man she had been speaking to originally. She stopped directly in front of him, looking him up and down slowly. Her lips twisted into a positively dangerous smirk as she finally met his gaze.
"You're not from around here, are ya?"
