When Reese woke up that morning, the first thing she noticed was that the rings were gone. The rings were gone and she was no longer attached to anyone. Saying a very hasty and barely wordy goodbye to her former husband, Reese headed out the door without hesitation. Though she knew that she had to go one other place before she went back home. When she got to the coffee shop, she got four coffees, two for each of them because she really wanted some damn coffee and she promised Crews coffee too.

Never had she been more excited to get back to living with Crews than right now. She'd been excited to see him before of course, when she had been kidnapped. But living with him? Not really until now. They hadn't even been able to share that hotel room together, though it helped this time that there were two bedrooms. And the fact that there would be no one calling randomly to talk dirty to either one of them on the phone. Lord that had been embarrassing.

Entering their place, she kicked open the door (with her hands full of coffee) and looked around.

"Crews?"

	"You talked to someone about that, didn't you?" Crews thought she had. Or maybe he'd dreamed it. He wasn't sure anymore. He was just glad to be home, without a ring on his finger. 	"Yeah, there's one guy who does forensics working there and he said most of the people working there are pod people." She shrugged a little. "But it was easy for him to get a job. 	"Maybe we should head don there today. Soon as we drink the coffee." Charlie flashed one of his smiles, all little boy innocence, though Charlie Crews was about as far from innocent as a person could be. "Cause I'd hate for it to get cold. 	She wasn't quite sure what he was smiling about but she shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah sure, we can go there as soon as we're done. Cold coffee sucks." Though the comment about zen books just kind of made her smirk. "It probably says to just warm it up, make more or stop complaining." Then she gave him an innocent smile of her own. "I'd rather just drink it warm and then there's no problem." Charlie nodded as if he'd just imparted very sage advice. He hadn't realised he would take coffee so seriously, but somehow the coffee he was drinking seemed to represent more than coffee. But that was the Zen talking, and Charlie tried to push it out of his mind before he over analysed it and made some kind of insane comparison between the coffee and his feelings for Reese. Feelings that were largely confusing and undefined.

"If I'm going to have cold coffee, I might as well have iced coffee." And it definitely wasn't warm enough for iced coffee. No where near warm enough. She was quite clueless about how the coffee was more about something else than just coffee. Yeah, she missed him. Dani had missed him a lot in the two weeks that they were separated, but she wasn't quite sure how to tell him that. Neither one was good at expressing feelings. She took another drink from her coffee and hm'd. There did seem to be something different, but she didn't know what.

"What are we going to do if they try and put us back in uniform?"

	Dani supposed that it had to do with before he'd gone to prison. Being a cop and trying not to get dirty. Okay so maybe being in uniform had bad reminders for both of them. "Okay no uniforms. 	That wasn't the answer she had been expecting. She just stared at him some more, her eyebrows all scrunched up together. "Well.. of course it's not true, I don't know what you're talking about."
