Leon sifted through the bags of clothes on the living room table, pulling off the borrowed shirt he'd gotten from Gwaine, and glancing between t-shirts and button downs provided him. The apartment was quiet, the door and windows open to let the cool air flow through, and the knight was sifting through his new possessions. A few bags of clothes, two pairs of shoes, a how-to book for the pda, a very thick encyclopedia currently open to the page on automobiles, and all his armor were spread over the couch and table.

Eventually he ran a hand along the smooth fabric, and pulled on the red polo shirt. He vanished just briefly to change into a pair of jeans, throwing the borrowed outfit into a hamper in the bathroom, then settled back on the sofa to inspect it all. This was too much. He flicked through the encyclopedia again, all the completely foreign bolded topics and explanations, and eventually stopped on 'planets.' Carding his fingers through his hair, Leon set the book back down, and moved to stand by the window instead. That didn't offer any comfort either. There were roads, cars, noise, lights...Eventually he leaned by the wall and just closed his eyes.

He would adjust. Gwaine had probably taken all of this in stride. Arthur and Gwen had built a life and family here. Morgana, Merlin, even Uther have made lives here. He would too, but for right now he still would've liked something familiar. Maybe he would walk to the park he'd been told about, it would be the closest he would get to somewhere devoid of so much new technology.

"You'll grow used to it," Arthur said, folding his arms and standing back while Leon went around tidying. His lips twitched in a hint of a smile as he watched. "I did mean it, Leon, you didn't have to clean on my account."

He sat on the edge of the sofa and leaned forward, hands dangling over his knees. "How are you finding it so far?"

He didn't have to, but that didn't stop him. Once it was clean, and Arthur was seated he settled on the couch. Leon didn't answer immediately. The knight didn't like to admit this place unsettled him, or that they had all been here without any sort of protection for so long, and a slew of other misgivings. However, he also wasn't the sort to lie to Arthur either.

"I don't like it." Leon answered simply. He didn't like the non-stop noise, the unnatural lights, and nevermind the things women wore out in public in this place.

"I don't know what to make of any of it. This book calls these PDA's technology, and says all of it is science even though it seems like magic. I met a woman who admitted to sorcery without hesitation. You and Guinevere have a child. And Morgana -" He'd been mulling everything over since he arrived, but thinking about it didn't help it just led to more questions.

"It's a change, I know. You won't ever fully fit in, but you will eventually adapt to it." Arthur never for one second forgot how out of place he was, even after two years of living it, everything was still new and unfamiliar. Every time he thought he understood something, he found out differently. Things changed rapidly here. Too rapidly for someone used to unchanging order. "Merlin being the very odd exception, you understand."

Arthur gazed up at Leon. "Don't just stand there, sit down." He moved over, opening up more space for Leon to join him.

"Isn't he always? Gwaine seems adjusted as well, but I suppose he would be fine anywhere there is a tavern." Merlin was a strange exception to everything. Arthur brought him everywhere, allowed him to speak freely, and the boy always came along to face creatures that would've sent most running in the other direction.

He hesitated but nodded, sitting down next to Arthur. "I don't know how to approach Morgana, but I have to speak to her. Especially if she is from before." Arthur would have to know. If the prince could over look the knowledge of what she would do outside this place, then he could too - right?

"Also..." Leon didn't like this place. He'd said that, hadn't he? "There are people who practice magic here. I told one that I could not associate with her as it is against the laws of Camelot, however, there are more here then I thought, and Morgana herself - The king is here, and you are - I am expected to uphold Camelot's ideals even outside the kingdom, but where this is concerned..." He wouldn't dare ask this of Uther. Questioning his views on magic risked getting him banished if not worse when they returned home, but Arthur would be reasonable.

"Apologize." It wasn't even a question of why. If Leon ever wanted to have another civil conversation with Morgana again, he would do so as soon as Arthur left. There wasn't a better way, nor would she accept anything less. "Don't think about challenging her, just apologize." He sighed, wondering if he shouldn't mention the fact that Morgana couldn't see, if Leon would think that was fate at play punishing her for things she had nothing to do with.

A lesser man would. "You can work through your concerns after."

Arthur leaned back into the sofa and frowned. He wouldn't give away Merlin's secret readily, not without Merlin's consent, but Arthur didn't know of a better way to put Leon's mind at ease about it.

"It's futile. Even my father has grown to...perhaps not accept but tolerate it's presence without much complaint. We don't have any right to it."

Unless the complaint was directed at Morgana, of course, but that was complicated enough as is.

He was silent for a long moment. Apologize. For upsetting her maybe, he genuinely would be sorry to have hurt her seeing as she wasn't guilty of any of the crimes he'd witnessed. However, he couldn't apologize for the distrust he felt for her initially and would continue to feel for Morgause, it wasn't something he could help. Not after watching innocent people murdered at her word because the knights refused to be loyal to her. That was simply not something you just got over.

"I will."

Leon quirked a brow at the thought of Uther and tolerance for magic being in the same sentence. "Perhaps this place will be good for him. If I may, sire. I never believed anything could be exclusively good or evil, magic included." He may as well be honest here, and despite his thoughts on the matter it didn't mean he would ever go against the laws in Camelot. Perhaps if Morgana had confided in him before hand that would've been different, but he'd never know now.

"How long have you and Guinevere been married?" He asked, changing the subject. "I must warn you. I have known her longer then you. Don't hurt her." Leon smiled a little, joking mostly, but he was a admittedly a little protective of her.

"There are people here dear to us who would appreciate you saying that," Arthur commented with a wry smile. He rolled his eyes and put his hands behind his head, stretching outward.

"Just a little under a year now." Arthur found himself blushing of all the irritating things, because it was easy enough to count back on hand the months since Gwen became pregnant. This wasn't even acknowledging the child they lost. "I always worry her brother or father may show here. I had forgotten how close the two of you are."

"I intend to tell her when we talk again." Because Morgana was the only one he could think of that he knew who would appreciate that.

"Elyan likes you, I think he would approve. Have you - You haven't even met him yet have you? Gwaine said no one knew him. I assume that goes for Elyan and Percival too. You must remember Lancelot though, right?" It was a shame. They were good, brave men. He supposed it was good though that Arthur wasn't burdened with those memories here. He was actually happy for the prince on some level, that this place allowed him more freedom to live his life. Even if he had no desire to remain here himself.

"I haven't," And he wasn't entirely certain he wished to either. He imagined the meeting would not only be awkward, but mildly threatening and then it would take weeks to be on easy footing. Especially when he found out all that had happened since arriving here. "But I'm certain Gwen will be glad to hear he returns."

"Lancelot?" Arthur laughed, and perhaps it could have sounded kinder. He truly did like Lancelot, for all the odd misunderstandings and abrupt departures. "He was once here for a few months."

"They don't always see eye to eye, but it's easy to tell she's glad to have him back. There was a long time where he disappeared, went off traveling, and never sent word. Now he helps run the blacksmith shop with Gwen, and he's a very capable knight." Leon explained, it was strange to imagine that life in Camelot continued on, or more accurately - had long since passed without noticing their absence. Even if they were somehow in both places at once.

"I don't know him as well as the others. He seems quiet, and he keeps company with Merlin and Percival more often then not. I remembered him from his last visit though." He was fairly certain that Uther was not pleased that any of the others had been knighted, but especially in Lancelot and Gwaine's particular cases. However, if he had anything to say on it the conversation remained between Uther and Arthur alone.
