WHAT: Owen promised Tosh a first date a long time ago, and now that he's not busy dying/being dead, he can actually fulfill that promise without issue.

Trying to find something that qualified as a date and yet didn't make him feel like an awkward high schooler at the idea of it. He'd know Tosh for years, and the type of 'normal' dates that he took women on (when he actually took them on dates) just didn't mesh in his mind with Tosh. So, instead, Owen had opted for something that seemed a great deal more appropriate for the two of them. Bowling was hardly glamorous, and it was certainly the sort of activity that most of the girls he'd gone out with at one time or another would probably have turned their nose up at, but it suited the pair of them far more than a fancy dinner ever would have. Tosh and Owen were just far too comfortable with each other to bother with the standard 'get too know you' dinner date.

A night out on the town enjoying a causal activity, some light chatter, and extremely unhealthy yet delicious grease soaked food seemed like an appropriate alternative for two people who probably knew more about each other than was healthy for people who hadn't slept together.
