WHO: Parker and Cas
WHAT: Parker's alive again. She also has no frigging clue that the invasion is over.
WHEN: Early evening
WHERE: The Grand Library
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress

Parker was alive again. A little odd, considering she was pretty sure she had died, but definitely not all that strange given she'd died in Colligo. So she wasn't confused as to why she wasn't dead. That made perfect sense, all things considered. No, she was confused because she was alive again and the knights, while not being particularly pushy about it, seemed to want her to leave the safety of the library only so she could die again. Which she naturally assumed had to be the case considering a quick glance outside had shown her that the city was still in ruins and anyone who had been in Colligo before knew that, once things stopped being crazy and folks came back to life, the city returned to normal too. Since it hadn't, Parker was left with the only conclusion that the city still hadn't stopped being crazy.

Which meant she was staying put.

As mentioned, the knights weren't being very pushy about it at least. They'd given her the PDA and moved toward the doors. However when Parker had immediately taken off toward the other end of the library, they'd decided against chasing her and had instead returned to their original spots. Which made for a really boring chase and made her immediately begin to re-evaluate her situation. She was in the library, with books that she didn't care enough to really read, with a PDA that didn't even work inside the building, and knights who wanted her gone but weren't willing to exert the energy it would take to trap her and make her leave. Parker glanced around from where she was perched on an empty table, and sighed. All-in-all, it was shaping up to be a pretty boring couple of... however long it was that she was stuck here for.

Some people might have been confused or worried at Paerker's reaction, that it was too calm or obviously shock or just not a normal reaction, but Cas wasn't most people. He wasn't even people really, and he'd never quite grasped the little things of human interactions. Besides, normal and Parker very rarely went hand in hand.

"Okay," he said with a shrug. Then he was gone in the blink of an eye, only to return just as instantaneously with a bag of cheese puffs and a glass of water. He'd never been a fan of bottled water, because it just seemed silly. There was water in any kitchen. Why pay to get it in a bottle? Why not just buy a bottle to put your water in when you really needed to carry it around with you? It seemed simple enough to him.

He tossed her the bag and set the glass on the table. "So...I talked to Death," he said. "If I hadn't made a deal, you would have. And then he might have taken your memories...or made you not a good thief. And that would have sucked. This seemed like a better plan." He tilted his head and looked at her. "So...do I get to kiss you now? Or are you going to be mad at me until we fight it out and then have make up sex? Because I'm good with whatever you want to do."

From Parker's perspective, Cas hadn't seemed to even really leave. Yes she'd felt a slight shift in her surroundings, something to indicate movement, but to the naked eye that had to blink once in a while, he didn't seem to have done anything more than barely move. Except now he had cheese puffs and water and Parker, who honestly had wanted cheese puffs and hadn't just asked as some way to trick him into giving her some alone time or to even see if he did have his mojo back, smiled almost as giddily as a small child being given a new toy.

Opening the bag, she took a bite of one of the puffs while listening to his reason for being an angel again. Feet swinging idly over the edge of the table, she swallowed her bite of food and considered him for a second. Should she be angry? Most women would be, she thought. They'd find it some sort of insult that he'd taken the choice away from her or they'd be mad that he'd given up a part of who he was without even considering whether she'd be fine with that or not. Most women would probably make a huge deal out of it then would either break up with him, believing they could never 'be with' an angel, or would get over it after they'd calmed down.

Parker, however, was not most woman. So whereas they might see his choice as some affront to their equality or some kind of relationship deterrent, she saw what he'd done as a very selfless thing that she didn't quite understand but that, much like things like gravity and Sophie's accent, she didn't have to understand in order to know it was just how things were meant to be. Cas was supposed to be an angel. Maybe not a very good angel, since she was pretty sure he hadn't stood in line at a store in the nanoseconds it'd taken him to get her cheese puffs, but he was supposed to be an angel. And if she wanted to be with him, she had to accept that.

Not to mention, who didn't want an immortal boyfriend that could steal bags of cheese puffs without anyone even knowing they were in the store? Parker considered that a very big 'win'... while simultaneously making her irrationally jealous and determined to prove she was still a better thief. But mostly it was a definite win. A fact made obvious when, with an impish grin, she questioned, "Which one lets us have sex all sorts of weird places now that you can zip around? Because I vote for that one."

Cas hadn't stolen the cheese puffs, but he wouldn't tell Parker that. She'd enjoy them more if she got to hold onto the idea that he had lifted them from a store, and he didn't want to spoil the illusion. Besides, he probably would end up using his abilities to shoplift and help with cons and do other very unangelic things with Parker. So it was hardly as if she was completely wrong in that regard. He did wonder if she thought he had somehow stolen the glass of water from a store, but he wouldn't actually put that past Parker.

At her question, he laughed and pretended to consider it. "Both do," he said finally, "but one has more arguing first. And arguing is really a waste of time better spent having sex and stealing things." Or maybe both at the same time. They could definitely manage that.

He could have left it at that, and it probably would have been fine with Parker, but there were other things to talk about. "I had sex with Dean," he admitted. "While you were dead...I had just become an angel again and I was a little messed up...and that probably makes me a really awful boyfriend-esque person...but I wanted to be honest. You can go ahead and throw things at my head if you want. I sort of deserve it. More than sort of."
