WHO: The Master and Lucy Saxon
WHAT: The Master just received his present from the Collector. Beyond that? There's no telling.
WHEN: Not long after this.
WHERE: Their new flat.
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress

Waking to find her husband practically giddy with glee was typically something most women would consider a good thing. Of course, most women weren't married to the Time Lord who had once gone by Harold Saxon. And the one woman who was happened to know that, when it came to her husband, giddy with glee was not necessarily a good thing for the rest of the world as a whole. The discovery that his TARDIS had arrived during the night didn't immediately help assuage Lucy's reservations, either, although it did shift them a little. Whereas before she was worried that Harry was up to something, now her worries were more than she was going to find herself rather unceremoniously replaced by a ship.

Yes, she knew a TARDIS wasn't just any ship. And she knew that, eventually, the newness would wear off and Harry would go back to finding other ways to amuse himself. However from the moment she'd learned about Lolita's arrival, to right up to the moment when Harry had made it clear she wasn't going to just sit idly around while he tinkered, Lucy had been worried. Happy for her husband but certainly worried for herself.

Now, though, she was simply confused.

Harry had never made any illusions to her lack of intelligence. She knew he considered her just as simple-minded as the rest of her family. So to hear that he wanted her around while messing about with his TARDIS was understandably a surprise, and not one she was sure how to handle. Rather than ask him about it, though, and risk his good mood, she simply continued to sit - curled up on one cushion of the sofa - with her PDA resting lightly in her lap and waited for whatever she was supposed to do next.

Having a TARDIS of his own had been a privilege he'd been denied for far too long, one that even stealing the Doctor's precious TARDIS hadn't solved with the coordinates locked like they had been. But now she was here, his own type 45 that had been stolen so many years before, returned to him through the grace of whatever happened to be running this place. It almost made up for turning him into that weak-willed failure for a month.

Lingering around the control room, checking and double checking the connections and mechanics, the Master only paused when he realized that Lucy had yet to enter the TARDIS like he thought he'd implied that she should. Turning away from the controls, he crossed to the door, peeking his head out. It was a weird look, his head sticking out of the fireplace like that, but with a working chameleon circuit, she blended into the room perfectly.

"Come on," The Master said, tilting his head at Lucy with a slight pout. "You're not going to sit there all day and make me stay in here by my lonesome, are you?"

At the sudden appearance of her husband's head sticking out of the fireplace, Lucy couldn't help but giggle softly. It was rather ridiculous looking, even if part of her did still marvel at how seamlessly his TARDIS blended into their flat while the Doctor's just plain didn't. She rose to her feet with that same small, amused smile on her face. Leaving her PDA on the arm of the sofa, as she doubted she'd need it and really didn't have anyone else she wanted to speak with at the moment aside from Harry anyway, she crossed the room without preamble.

Pausing in front of him, Lucy thought briefly of asking if he was sure he wanted her to come inside. Yes, it was certainly something she wanted and most definitely helped but a few of her own insecurities to rest, but she also knew she'd understand if he changed his mind. After all, it had been quite some time since he'd been inside his own ship. However as she opened her mouth to ask, she instead changed her mind. If he didn't want her there, he wouldn't have asked, and questioning him wasn't going to clarify why he wanted her there in the first place. All it would do was run a risk of upsetting him and Lucy definitely wanted to avoid that option. So she simply asked instead, "Can you change what she looks like or does she base her decision on the surroundings?"

Not that Lucy minded what the TARDIS currently appeared to be. She really was just curious and figured asking before she'd stepped inside and he got back to doing whatever it was he'd been doing before would likely get her a better reply.
