Who: Anyone who fancied coming to Sirius' fantastic birthday party of amazingness.
What: Sirius' fantastic birthday party of amazingness.
When: Around 11 pm tonight.
Where: Sirius' flat.
Rating/Warnings: TBD. Probably excessive drinking and swearing.
Status: In progress, open.

At Hogwarts, Sirius' birthday had always been a period of great celebration. Usually ending with multiple detentions and a severe telling off for four smirking teenage boys in McGonagall's office. After Hogwarts, there had been a war on, and most of Sirius' best friends had been fighting in a secret organization attempting to stop oppression and the dark lord. So gathering everyone together in one place to get completely and utterly bladdered had not seemed like the most intelligent plan. Now Sirius found himself stuck somewhere in between a mad teenage party spilling out into the corridors and a quiet dinner with the Potter family, Remus and Peter. And he didn't mind at all.

The front door of the flat was open, leaving room for people to file in and out as they fancied. Sirius' typical seventies punk music was piping loudly out of one corner, ready to be switched over by whoever happened to be the first to crack. There was an ridiculous amount of drink cluttering up the kitchen, several full ashtrays and a clatter of conversation from the various people who filled the room. One bedroom was firmly locked and warded, while Sirius'  own was open with a small mountain of coats spilling from the bed onto the floor. The flat was warm from having too many bodies crammed into it, even with all the windows open.

Sirius himself stood by one of the said windows, cigarette clamped between his lips, his eyes slightly blurry from the alcohol he and his drinking companion had started consuming rather early in the day. He was chuckling as he and Rose enjoyed some rather slurred conversation.

"Stop wobbling," the animagus told Rose, trying to laugh without dropping the cigarette and creating a small but dramatic house fire. Sirius' eyes narrowed as he poured two rather generous helpings of tequilla into the glasses Rose was holding. putting the bottle down on the window-sill, and taking his drink back from the blonde, plucking the cigarette from his mouth. "Cheers." The glasses clinked together, and on the count of three Sirius threw back his shot of sharp alcohol.

"Ah," Juno surmised, "You and Arthur? And, ah, Mr. Eames?" She'd caught a couple of Eames' references about Arthur in regard to Regulus Black--and it didn't take much to put two and two together. Especially when Juno might possibly been harboring similar feelings regarding the father of her baby and a certain Katrina De Voort.

"Yeah, that is creepy," she said, pulling her attention to the here and now. Paulie and Katrina were irrelevant. "But hey. Accidents happen. I promise I'm not trying to steal your identity."

"There is no and," she informed her doppelganger before finishing her drink. "Just them. And Eames doesn't have a double. Thank God for small favors - but I guess I actually could. Supposedly." For a confirmed skeptic, having an incarnation of a supreme deity and angelic figures hanging around was possibly the strangest part about this place.

"I'm not, like, mad at you. It's just weird to watch." Ariadne looked morosely at her empty cup. "And I'm not worried. I can't think of a reason why anybody would want to steal my identity. C'mon, mini-me, let's go get drinks. Juice for you." See, she was totally responsible and caring.

"Juice for me," Juno agreed, following Ariadne's lead. "I kinda feel weird to be the only person here who isn't drinking, but you know, I probably get loopy enough with just the sugar rush. I guess I should have expected and party thrown by Sirius Black to be a wild one, huh?"

"Oh, you're probably not the only sober person," Ariadne said, doing a credible imitation of one herself. But then, she always was surprisingly good at holding her liquor given her size, and she was weaving more to get through the crush of people than because of the alcohol. "But you're right, I can't see Sirius throwing a tea party with finger sandwiches."

Even sober, Juno had a little more trouble weaving. What she did was more like waddling--though she had a feeling that would get worse before it got better.

"So how long have you been here? And is it always so...bipolar? Zombies one week, and candy the next?"

"About three months," she said over her shoulder, elbowing someone aside so Juno could get past. "And yeah, it really is. Right after I got here, everyone was acting like they'd been stuck on Melrose Place or something. And I told you about the time when we all had to confess our secrets. That sucked hardcore."

Juno laughed, letting out an exaggerated whistle as Ariadne parted the crowd. "You are hardcore," she mused, "I like it. And I guess I'll just have to roll with the punches."

"Me? No, just impatient and pushy." Ariadne glanced back at Juno and gave her a half-smile. "That's pretty much all we can do, though. Try to remember that weird shit happens and there's not a lot we can do about it, and just... ride it out, I guess." They'd arrived at the table full of drinks, and Ariadne handed Juno an empty cup before pouring an assortment of liquors into her own. She would probably regret this in the morning. Right now, though, she didn't particularly give a shit.

"Still. You seem like the kind of person who wouldn't have any trouble standing up for yourself, and that takes some stones." She shrugged, sloshing a strange concoction of fruit juice and soda pop into her cup. "Pomegranate-Cherry Coke Punch," she announced. "Cheers!"
