Gabriel reached out with his mind, putting a little help behind the chair with his telekinesis so that it wouldn't be quite so heavy for Noah. It really was amazing to him still just how much weight was lifted off his shoulders when it was just the two of them like this or even when it was just the three of them. There were no burdens, no worries, no fears beyond the vague one that if he changed back into who he had been before that he would lose all of them and the stability that he had found would be gone forever.
But right here and right now, there was nothing in the world to worry about except pancakes.
"I'm sure you'll come up with just the perfect thing to put on them," Gabriel said as he reached the cabinet, pulling the ingredients that they needed down. A purist at heart, Gabriel had simply never bought into the idea of instant pancake mix when all you needed was flour, milk, and oil (and maybe an egg, if you were so inclined) in the first place. Pausing in his gathering of ingredients, Gabriel turned back to Noah with a playful grin on his face. Tucked behind all of the other baking ingredients was a bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
