"Okay!" Noah agreed happily enough, snuggling a little bit closer to Gabriel and resting his head against him as he stared at the card he'd written. Across the front was written, in large letters that were carefully printed with obvious care and effort, Happy Father's Day!.
"Happy Father's Day," he said, having memorized what part easily enough. With a somewhat sheepish look, he peered up at his dad. "Mommy helped me with that part," he admitted before returning his attention to the card and waiting for Gabriel to open it so he could see the inside.
"I did this part myself!" he exclaimed, sitting up a bit straighter in excitement. "Well, Mommy helped spell stuff but I drew the picture and put what I wanted to say most." He was clearly proud of himself, and glanced up at Gabriel after a second to see what he thought of his hard work.
