WHO: Phillipa and Ariadne
WHAT: The girls miss Sirius, albeit in different ways, so they're distracting each other.
WHEN: Midafternoon, 10/18
WHERE: Mal and Phillipa Cobb's apartment
RATING: G, you sick freaks.
STATUS: In Progress; open to Mal Cobb

This was weird. Aside from the inherent weirdness of their whole situation, and the weirdness of zombies roaming the streets, Ariadne was in a strange place mentally. She didn't quite know how to deal with Sirius's death. After all, they'd slept together a couple of times and hung out a little, but they'd shared quite a bit in that short time. She wasn't sure if she should have been more upset - or less. It sucked. One's friend-with-benefits wasn't supposed to get eaten by zombies.

But she really didn't want to share that with Eames or Arthur - Ariadne was having a hard enough time with them these days anyway - and she definitely couldn't talk about it with Mal. And on top of everything else her pregnant doppelganger had showed up and started talking like some teen catchphrase handbook. The obvious solution: hanging out with a kid who wouldn't make any demands on her other than having some fun. Or so she hoped.

Ariadne carefully laid the last section of roof on top of the castle she'd constructed to Phillipa's specifications, based on a somewhat wiggly drawing done in crayon. The roof stayed up, and she grinned at the blonde girl. "There you go. What are you calling it, Princess Phil?"

"Beautiful." Ariadne sat back and leaned on her hands, watching Phillipa decorate the castle. The name made her smile a little sadder. A five-year-old might know about death, but it was an abstract concept at that point more than anything else. Hell, major religions tried and failed to explain what happened after people died. Why should a kid have any better idea of what was going on?

"Are those the guards? Or are those supposed to be us?" she asked, leaning forward and peering at the gummy bears. Ariadne glanced at Phillipa and smiled. "Can I be the red one? Red's my favorite color."
