Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Giselle and OPEN
What: Being glad to hear and speak again, but being sad
When: Early afternoon
Where: A bench in the park
Why: She was attacked by the Gentlemen, and Giselle is too damn cute not to be upset about it
Warnings: None yet

Giselle sat by herself on a bench under a tree in the park. The birds were chirping, and that made her heart glad, but she was still shaken. Some strange men had come into her room and had tried to hurt her. She had just barely managed to get away. She still wasn't even sure how she'd managed to slip away, it was such a blur to her.

Her dress, which she had expertly crafted from the drapes hanging in her bedroom (she would make some new ones later) was ripped at the shoulder and at the bottom hem. She hadn't felt like repairing it yet. And there was a bruise on her cheek. One of the men had tried to hold her down when she ran. No one had ever attacked her before, with the exception of Narissa. And she had been a dragon then. No person had ever actually attacked her before. Giselle just couldn't imagine why someone would want to hurt her.

A little gray squirrel scampered up to Giselle's feet. She smiled sadly at it and held out her hand. The squirrel nuzzled Giselle's fingers and wiggled its whiskers at her. "Hi there, little friend," she said to the squirrel. The squirrel wiggled its tail as if it understood her.

With bow and quiver in tow Susan had been hunting for an archery range, mostly since she needed the sound of arrow hitting target (in spite of having killed her share of Gentlemen lackeys via her gear). She had not bothered to change from her Narnian wear in the days since being dumped into the city and it showed when she spotted the older woman. Her gentle nature took over, part of her feeling like this woman reminded her of Lucy. "Are you ok?" she finally asked after seeing the bruise.

Giselle looked up when the young woman spoke to her. The first thing that crossed her mind was that she was simply happy to just see and hear someone friendly. So many people here were so grumpy about practically nothing. It was very bothersome to her. "Oh, hello," she said, offering a small smile. Then she noticed the clothing the young woman wore. They were somewhat similar to the clothing she was used to seeing back in Andalasia. Not exactly the same, but very similar.

"Oh," she began, realizing that the girl was looking at her face. "Yes, I suppose I'm fine. I seemed to have had a..." Giselle trailed off, trying to think of the proper word for it. "A misunderstanding with some very odd looking men. I had to run away." She shrugged and smiled pleasantly up at Susan.

"The Gentlemen" Susan realized in a hurry. "My room mate was attacked as well, those henchmen put up a fight" she explained, meaning why she had her bow and quiver. "But it appears to be over and well I have to make sure you are unhurt beyond those few bruises, my name is Susan" having a feeling this woman would understand on some level Narnia.

"Well, they certainly weren't very gentlemanly," Giselle said, wrinkling her nose in distaste. She couldn't imagine those... things actually being called "Gentlemen." It was like some kind of mean joke to call them such.

"What a lovely name, Susan," she replied with a smile. "My name is Giselle."

"They have the worst manners!" Susan had to admit,"Whoever came up with that name had no idea" she observed as she set the quiver full of arrows alongside the bench. "Giselle is just as pretty a name, did you land here during all this?".

Giselle sighed heavily, though her demeanor seemed to be brightening somewhat. "Yes. I was just getting used to my old home, and then ended up here somehow. The same thing happened before, except I fell down a well and ended up in a strange land very similar to this one." Her life just seemed now to be one long string of waking up in strange places. She wondered idly if another witch had had something to do with her arrival here.

"3rd time inside a year for me: 2 trips into Narnia and now this" Susan admits. Part of her was thinking of Caspian as she spoke,"But this place is something else altoghter" knowing it could not have been the White Witch behind this, but not sensing Aslan was more scary.
