WHEN: The morning following this.
WHERE: The Grand Library
RATING: Totally kid-friendly
STATUS: Complete; narrative
NOTES: Immediately following this post, any characters who were killed as a result of Lucifer being in Colligo are once again alive. They will have no memory of their time while dead and will find themselves either in the location where they were killed or back in their own apartment, depending on what the player would like to do. Keep in mind, of course, that there are still other Big Bads roaming about but the general "darkness" that has plagued the city has thus been lifted with the Almighty's return. Also, should you like to have your character have any sort of reaction of various deaths or whathaveyou, between Lucifer's death and God's return, simply mention in an OOC post that it's dated between the two threads. ♥

Normally, when someone new arrived in Colligo, the first sign that anyone had to this event was the opening of the Grand Library's doors. The next sign, not counting the typically bewildered arrival's escort via the guards of course, was seeing that arrival stumble their way off the stairs that led out into the rest of the city. Typically they were clutching their PDA to them as some sort of lifeline and more often than not they were posting to the message boards before their feet had even hit the sidewalk.

None of this, of course, applied to the Almighty.

She didn't arrive via the Library. Her PDA was hidden from view even though her skirt didn't appear to even have pockets. She also didn't look the least bit bewildered, enraged, or frightened. In fact, if anything, her expression was a curious mixture of pride and sorrow. The former was due to the knowledge that Lucifer had been dealt with. Those who were meant to play their parts had done precisely that and the greatest threat that the city had faced thus far was no longer an issue. Which, in part, was why there was also sorrow. Lucifer had been her most loved, once. His fall, while necessary, had hurt her greatly and his destruction had been much the same.

Then, of course, there was the loss of the other lives. Innocent people who had simply been caught in the crossfire. Some died as heroes and others were nothing more than unfortunate victims. The reasons behind their deaths didn't matter to God, however. The point was that they were gone.

But not for long.

She knew that no one was aware as to why she had left. She knew that there were those who questioned her abandoning them in their greatest time of need. However now that all was said and done, the motives behind her own departure could finally be explained. Not necessarily in words – although she was certain there would be a few who would likely ask – but moreso by action. For now that she was back, she could right the wrongs that were committed in her absence.

Pausing on the stairs of the Library, God closed her eyes. The heaviness that had slowly been lightening since Lucifer's downfall was gone in an instant. The cold front that had moved in when he had arrived was chased away by a loving warmth that only one such as herself could truly provide. A pause overtook the city, for the briefest of instants, and in that moment everything around her changed. Then, her eyes reopened and she smiled. Dusting her palms against one another, she glanced around and gave a slight nod. With a smile on her face, she hiked up her skirt, skipped down the stairs, and made her way toward the nearest skeeball arcade secure in the knowledge that if anyone – both survivor or newly returned to life – needed to find her, they would likely know where to look.
