Who: Dawn Summers & Evil!Willow
Where: Secluded spot in the park
What: Evil!Willow's looking for a power boost!
When: Wednesday Evening
Rating: TBD
Status: In progress

The message had been short, but urgent. Dawnie, meet me at this clearing in the park [directions]. I need to talk to you. -W She didn't know why Willow wanted to meet in the middle of the park, but with all that was going on, she wasn't taking any chances. If Willow needed her, she headed on out without any hesitation. Not to say she wasn't prepared, of course. She had a small messenger bag slung over her shoulder. In it was a knife, a copy of the angel-banishing sigil she'd written down, a sports bottle filled with holy oil, and a book of matches. She hoped she'd ready if anything happened on the way.

Thankfully, nothing did. It took her 20 minutes to find the clearing Willow said she'd be at, and Dawn was pretty nervous. The sun would be setting soon, and with this Lucifer guy running around, she wasn't sure if there might not be something else bad around. As she stepped into the clearing, she glanced around for the witch. "Willow? It's Dawn...is everything okay?" Not seeing her right away, the teen frowned and took a few more steps inside. "Will?"

Willow couldn't say for sure just why her magic had fluctuated out of control. She assumed it had to do with Lucifer's arrival as what little information she'd been able to gather about him told her that bad things tended to gravitate toward him as though he was some sort of vortex of evil. Not that Willow thought that she, herself, was evil. She didn't. However anyone who had ever tasted darkness as she had knew that there was always a chance they might taste it again. And when Satan himself showed up, the urge to do so became almost overwhelming.

It was a loss of inhibitions. A loss of self-control. A loss of something identifiable and yet more important than anything else that the witch had ever known, because the moment it was gone a part of her went with it. And unlike the last time she'd taken a walk on the bad side of things, this time her judgment wasn't clouded by grief or rage. She was thinking clearly and she had a plan.

A plan that started with one Dawn Summers.

Hearing the teen arrive at the clearing, Willow finally allowed herself to be seen. She appeared a few feet in front of her with her arms hanging loosely at her sides and a cold smile upon her face. Her hair and eyes were both as black as the darkness that coursed through her veins, her skin more pale than usual. Gone was the flowing skirt with bright colors and ruffly top she'd been wearing before and in its place was yet more darkness - blacks and reds and boots that were better suited for smashing something into the ground than being fashionable.

"Heya Dawnie," she greeted the girl with a slight tilt of her head. Her cold smile grew a bit. "So glad you could make it."

“Hey, Will, what’s…” the words died on the teenagers lips as she looked up at her friend, and her eyes widened. She recognized this look. It was not a good look. The last time Willow had been all veiny and black-looking had been when Tara had been killed. She’d gone so evil, she had decided to destroy the world just to end its pain. And this time, there was no Xander to save the day by talking. “…wrong.” She finished the sentence, swallowing hard as she took a slow step back.
Willow’s words from a year ago ran through her mind. She had claimed that she could turn Dawn back into the Key. She wondered if that’s what she planned to do now. “Wi…Willow…are you okay? What happened?” Her words were understandably shaky, and fear had begun to rise within her. Despite that, she slowly moved a hand into her bag and grasped the knife within.
“Whatever happened, we can fix it….you know you don’t want to hurt me.” She tried to keep her words calm, when what she really wanted to was scream and run away.

One of her eyebrow's arched upward as she simply listened to Dawn try her best to 'talk her down' or whatever it was she thought she was doing. Really. Did she expect that to actually work? Briefly she entertained the thought of playing along but decided she really didn't want to play games at the moment. No, she had things to do, and they didn't involve mind games with the littlest Summers.

"Fix it?" she echoed softly before giving a faint laugh. "There's nothing to fix, Dawnie. I'm not broken." Magical energy danced along the edge of her fingertips and her smile turned even chillier than before. "In fact, I'd say I'm finally whole."

One arm came up suddenly and she struck out with a bolt of magic. It wouldn't kill Dawn. It wouldn't even really hurt all that much. If she hit her mark, it would simply help hold the teen in place to prevent that flight instinct that most people with any common sense had when faced with something far more powerful than they were.

Dawn took another step back and pulled out the knife, though she knew it was useless against Willow and her magic. She suddenly wished she’d had the opportunity to learn some defensive magic from her in recent months, but they’d all been concentrating on stopping the First.

“I didn’t mean that you’re broken…I mean that if..something happened..we can make it bett-“ her words broke off again when Willow’s hand came up, and a faint squeak escaped the younger Summers sister. She suddenly found herself frozen, sort of like then the Gnarl had cut her, unable to move, with her arm half raised and holding the dagger. “Willow…please, whatever you’re going to do, don’t…”

Willow barely paid attention to the knife. Even if Dawn somehow managed to stab her, which she didn't consider very likely, she highly doubted the girl would have what it took to deliver a killing blow. After all, she still wanted to help.

So she instead murmured a simple, "Thicken" to hold the teen in place without having to use anymore of her energy, then began walking serenely toward her. "Shh," she said in what might almost pass as a loving tone. "I'm not going to kill you or anything silly like that, and begging really does make you sound even more pathetic than you actually are."

Making a tsking sound with her tongue, the black-haired witch shook her head and paused a few steps in front of the girl. "What would Buffy think?"
