Who: Dawn Summers & Anna
When: Mid morning
Where: The park across from the housing buildings
What: Dawn's curious about angels and Anna's wings
Rating: Probably pretty low

Since her arrival, despite the fact that she knew some people, Dawn had felt lonely. It was mostly a continuation of the loneliness she had started to feel in Sunnydale, while watching her sister train all these other girls the same age as Dawn-or younger. They all had this special bond with her sister that no matter what she did, she would never have with Buffy. She wasn't a Slayer-or a Potential-so she had begun to feel a little like an outsider. The talk with Xander that one day had helped, a lot, but even he couldn't really know what it was like for Dawn. He wasn't a teenage girl.

So on finding herself in this strange place, Dawn had decided to look at it a little like starting over. This place presented a new way for her to make friends, and she had decided to seize it if she could. After meeting Anna on the boards, she was amazed to discover that she, too, was an angel. Dawn was still reeling from the fact that angels were actually real. And here. She was happy that the woman agreed to meet with her and let her see her wings, so Dawn had eagerly changed and left to go see her.

As she entered the park across from the buildings, she glanced back at them for a moment, then continued walking in. Instead of taking one of the more open paths, she opted for one that had a few more trees around it, mostly because it reminded her of home. After walking for a few minutes, she glanced around to look for Anna, not exactly sure where they were supposed to meet.

"Anna?"

"It's...been a while, since I've been around anyone who could tell and didn't already know." Dawn gave a small shrug, relaxing. She felt, somehow, that Anna was telling the truth. With the angels around, she'd be safe. She only hoped that Anna was right.

If she only knew the true story of Dawn and how and why she had the power she did-which she didn't even know how to use, and to be honest, she didn't think she even had anything anymore-then she might not have been so quick to just assume she was a teenager with power. In all honesty, she was so much more.

"Just a few days."

Anna smiled sadly. When talking about this, the girl was vulnerable, that much was clear. Anna understood vulnerabilities far too well, so she decided to make sure that Dawn knew that she wasn't judging or anything like that. "You didn't choose to be this. And it's nothing to be ashamed of. Just make sure you know that."

"Ah, so you're new, too, hm?" Anna asked calmly. "Seems a bit chaotic around here at the moment, too, so we got thrown in at the apex of the storm," she added with a nonchalant chuckle. Maybe too nonchalant. She hoped she didn't make Dawn think that it was nothing, because if it had so many angels up in arms, it certainly wasn't nothing.

Dawn had figured she was past being sensitive about being the Key, but she was starting to realize that she wasn't. Maybe she just hadn't finished dealing with it? "You're right...I didn't." She hadn't asked to be the Key, but the truth was, she was the Key first. Who hadn't been asked to be turned into a human.

She nodded in response to the question. "Yeah...it was pretty quiet when I first got here, but now..no one's saying much, but it kind of feels like something's definitely happening, or about to happen." And she hated not knowing.
